Hawkin's Bazaar Selfie Stick

A bit of a gadget post today, featuring a simple gadget that seems to be taking the social media world by storm - selfie sticks! At first i was a little reluctant to get in on the whole selfie stick action, but thought ya know what lets just go with it and embrace it...so here it is in all of its glory! This one can be found in the men's section from Hawkin's Bazaar has a plug in remote, so there's no need for a self timer - you simply pop your phone into the holder, then plug the lead into the the phone jack, and press the button on the bottom of the stick to take the photo, so easy. It holds the phone tightly, i was shaking it around on the grass to see if it would fall out, but nope, it's super safe. The stick extends up to a metre, meaning you can take all kinds of funny photos at whatever angle you please...to be honest i've not put it down since receiving it, it's definitely my new favourite toy! As well as being extendible it can also be folded up so can fit in your bag or carried on the arm by its loop hole - and at only a tenner it's an absolute bargain and so much fun to play with. It's also ideal if you're going on holiday, off to a festival, or even going out with your pals! Happy snapping!

The Monday Piece - ASOS Lace Up Sandals

This week's Monday Piece is on these ASOS lace up sandals! I'm loving all of the lace up styles floating around, and spied some incredible Zara shoes with a lace up design, alas they were out of stock (story of my life) buuuut found this pair on ASOS and also had a discount code so i got them for about £20 which isn't bad at all! They are mega uncomfy but they look great, in time they better soften up otherwise i'll continue to carry a box of plasters with me everywhere!

Decorating and Home Furnishings

Since Nick and I have moved into our little home we've been slowly building it up, buying bits and bobs to make it 'ours' as well as doing some simple decorating - it's an exciting time and a new adventure for the two of us, and of course shopping for a new home is also exciting! I'm finding myself browsing magazines, websites and blogs, looking for inspiration and supplies. Whilst doing so i've come across lots of new websites offering their services for decorating and home furnishing, that i wouldn't have necessarily seen otherwise so it's opening my eyes to how much choice and variety there is available.

We rent as buying is mega pricey where we live in Malvern, it's ideal for now as we are just starting out, it's freshly decorated with white walls, spongy cream carpets and wooden floors, with a modern sleek bathroom, and high gloss white finish kitchen - so we don't have much to decorate, though Kent Blaxill have all the supplies we need for if and when we decide to change anything. They have a huge selection of paint from leading brands including Farrow & Ball and Earthborn, providing top class quality and a smooth, even finish (ideal for DIY novices like me)! If you fancy a printed or plain wallpaper instead they sell this too, again with lots of different colours, styles and finishes.

Home furnishings and turning a house into a home is equally as important as decorating and choosing the right colour paint, fixtures and fittings. HomeSense has to be one of my favourite places for furnishing pieces, they have so many unique things, from everything like bath mats, to toothbrush holders, paintings to rugs, chairs to lamps - they have it all! I love the jazzy feel to the shop too, and of course the prices are equally as enticing! I'm also a fan of Next though find it can be a little overpriced, so i'll be keeping a keen eye out for the sales - i won't be one of the crazy sales shoppers waiting outside at 5am though! I've included some snaps of interior and decorating inspo, i like a cosy, clean, fresh and simple home, a little scruffy around the edges so the below definitely caught my attention!

The Monday Piece - OSMO Hair Care

This week's Monday Piece is on OSMO hair care! I've been using the new range of rejuvenating shampoo and light oil radiance spray as my long tresses need a little TLC and I'm keen on maintaining the sleek look I go for so I was excited to try it out and see how it worked on my hair! The berber oil shampoo gently cleanses, leaving hair more hydrated and shiny - this is something I struggle with as it gets dry so easily, but after the first wash my hair feels stronger and feels softer too! Oil sprays are a little risky as I don't want to weigh my hair down with excess oil and am always scared it will go greasy, however the formula is light and more of a mist than an oil - I found it finished of my straightened locks so well, by taming flyaways and frizzy bits, and giving my hair a shiny, polished look. Plus it smells so good without being too overpowering, so I'm definitely happy with how the products are doing! I've been using the spray regularly, but have only used the shampoo once, so I'll update you once I've been using the shampoo regularly - however first impressions are promising! Click here to go to the OSMO website where full details can be found about their entire range, OSMO products can be bought in local hairdressers, online and in high street stores too!

The Monday Piece - Moving In Day

This week's Monday Piece is on Moving In Day! Nick and I have decided to start renting a place together and move in. The past few months we've been spending all of our spare time together, so it seemed like the next natural step to get our own place and space! It's an exciting time for us both, so i thought i'd share a little snap of us together :).

The Monday Piece - Topshop Black Super Ripped Jamie Jeans

This week's Monday Piece is on the Topshop super ripped Jamie jeans! I picked these up a little while ago in Hereford whilst doing a little shopping, and have been wearing them lots since! I've been pairing them with long sleeved tees, wrap tops and boots and sandals, they're mega versatile and comfy too. Topshop denim is fairly pricey compared to the rest of the high street, but it does last and the fit is usually spot on, so i'd say invest if you fancy a pair!

The Monday Piece - Weekend Outfit

This week's Monday Piece is on my weekend outfit! Still wearing my woollen coat as it's not yet warm enough to be out and about without it - which is nuts as it's almost June! Weekend outfits usually consist of something chilled and easy going, this weekend we went to Birmingham for a little shopping, coffee and a Starbucks lunch. Zara has finally reopened in the Bullring after five months of being closed so i had a mooch and picked up a few Summery bits. We then stopped off in Worcester on our way back to Ledbury for dinner in a yummy thai restaurant - i had a gluten free thai stir fry with chicken, veg and a green curry paste sauce, so good! This is what i wore for the day, i want to get back into outfit posts regularly as i've missed doing them, so watch this space!
