The Monday Piece - Gluten Free Pasta in Tokyo, Kakurenbo Restaraunt

This week's Monday Piece is on gluten free pasta in Tokyo, Kakurenbo restaraunt! I've mentioned previously being gluten free in Japan can be a little tricky, but with Google and TripAdvisor it can be more straight forward then you think with a little planning and commitment! I love pasta, it's comforting, hot, delicious and Italian, so I was mega happy and shocked when a gluten free organic Italian restaraunt popped up on my food map just a few minutes on the underground away. Naturally, I've been three times in the past month because it is SO good, located in Machiya, Kakurenbo has a large gluten free menu, with all of their pasta being gluten free, and they have vegan options too so it's one of my current top places in Tokyo for delicious food. If you fancy something other than pasta then they have pizza, stews, and fondue too - as well as gluten free cheesecake which is the best I've ever had! It's also very reasonably priced with a big bowl of pasta costing around £5.00-£7.00 which is awesome for central Tokyo, and did I mention it's organic too? Definitely check this place out if you have allergens and are after a yummy carb fix!

The Monday Piece - Fila Disruptor 2 Trainers

This week's Monday Piece is on Fila Disruptor 2 trainers! I saw these a little while ago and had an instant urge and need for them - I love chunky trainers and think they look awesome as well as being SO comfortable which is a must when I'm running around the city. They'd sold out everywhere so I made it my mission to hunt then down...after a few failed attempts online (so many fakes, no idea you could even fake Fila but apparently you can) I managed to track them down in a limited edition 'sneaker store' in Harajuku! They look great with pretty much eveyghing, I just need to figure out how to keep them bright and white!

The Monday Piece - The Best Free View of Tokyo

This week's Monday Piece is on the best free view of Tokyo! There's a few famous viewing decks around Tokyo that give you incredible views of the city, though annoyingly you have to pay - but the Tokyo Metropolitan Government building gives you these incredible views for free! Situated in Shinjuku, it's easy to find by taking the West exit from the train station and following the signs for the Tokyo Government building where you can find the free viewing decks at 202m high. The North Observatory is open until late so if you're after that totally awesome view of Tokyo at night then this is the place to go. On good weather days you can see the magnificent Mount Fuji as well as other top Tokyo sights including the Tokyo Dome, Meiji Shrine and Tokyo Skytree :).
