House of Fraser Dress Want List

House of Fraser stock so many different styles and selections of dresses they're always my first place to go when i know i need something smart and sassy to wear to an event or occasion! As you may know i love my simple styles, so the the grey Warehouse dress is right up my street - it is SO cute and the off shoulder detail is mega on trend, plus it's grey which goes with pretty much every other colour, i'd pair it with some strappy sandals, oversized sunglasses and a black fedora hat! Draped pieces are also some of my favourites as they look ultra flattering and can easily be dressed up or down, this label lab dress is no exception and is definitely a style that can be reworked again and again. If you're looking for something extra special for a wedding or prom then you must check out the prom dresses available - full of sleek as well as full and bouncy prom style dresses you'll be spoilt for choice!

Of course i've picked out some accessories to go with their fab dresses, every piece on the list is available from House of Fraser right now - i'm all over the grey suede Steve Madden heels, and the Tom Ford make-up palette looks so plush, i adore the jewel colours for a smoky eye look. The Aspinal London Mayfair bag has been on my radar for a while, it is so chic and classy and i love the croc style leather, it would add some much needed texture and jazz to an all black outfit!

House of Fraser also happen to have a huge sale on so have a peek and see if you fancy anything!

The Monday Piece - Topshop Striped Summer Dress

This week's Monday Piece is on this Topshop striped Summer dress! As you may know i'm a sucker for jeans and trousers, but when i saw this pretty dress on Topshop.com i had to have it - I love the length as it's totally different to my usual styles, ideally i'd need it in a petite but that wasn't an option so took the risk when ordering but i think it fits great! The wrap style isn't completely 'closed' so there's room in the front for moving legs which means the split come up quite high but as it's longer than mid length i think you can get away with it. I'm always in between sizes so bought a 10 but i'd say it comes up a little big so order your normal size or if your in between like me then go down a size for a more fitted look around the bust, back and waist. I treated myself to a new pom pom charm from Harvey Nichols which matches up quite well so i've clipped it on to my tiny Louis for a bit of fun! Let me know what you think :).

Summer Sales Top Picks

The Summer sales are ON and their is plenty that has caught my eye! There are sales here there and everywhere on the high street, online and on shopping apps too, so i wanted to feature my top picks of clothing, shoes and accessories. The Summer sales are always so good, and this year is no different as i've been browsing some incredible bargains - i've featured asymmetric skirts before but this one is slinky and sassy and only £6 from Boohoo.com, plus it comes in other colours too! Also love the off the shoulder bell sleeved top from New Chic an Australian site full of cool stuff that is mega cheap, it's only £11!
I've included some treats too, when the sales hit i sometimes treat myself to something a little more special that i'll re-wear and use more than average (quality not quantity and all that), i've got my eye on The Kooples hat, Kenzo bag and Moschino belt - ALL of which are on sale with fab savings, work hard = shop hard! I'm a big fan of unisex jewellery and don't tend to go for over the top blingy trends, the leather wrap necklace from Fresh Trends is right up my street and one of my fave pieces from their website, plus i love all of their body jewellery too! I adore the light lace bralette by Hanky Panky, it's so delicate and would look so pretty underneath a low cut white shirt! Have you picked up anything in the sales?

The Monday Piece - Summer Denim

This week's Monday Piece is on Summer denim! I know the weather is milder when i'm slipping on a light pair of my fave Summer jeans, this Hudson pair i've had for ages but they're super quality and have a neutral vibe to them which appeals to my monochrome nature. The t-shirt is from Maje and it's so soft and i love the shredded details, but somehow it accidentally got in a 40 degree wash when it's dry clean only...and it's kind of mishapen and ruined but i can't bear not to wear it...gutted!

The Monday Piece - Zara Wrap Leggings

This week's Monday Piece is on these Zara wrap leggings! I was in Birmingham a few weeks ago meeting my buddy Hayley for some lunch and a catch up and saw them in store and snapped them up, technically they're from the workout range but i think i can just about get away with them with normal clothes! The wrap tie sides remind me of ballet dancers leggings, i've worn them with a simple v-neck top from ASOS and an oriental printed jacket from Warehouse - worn at the weekend for running errands and shopping in IKEA :).

Zara Jedi Top

I bought this top from Zara on the basis that it reminded me of a Jedi's style - which i love so much, they always look amazing with their beautiful draping and wrapping, so very Rick Owens. This top can be worn front to back and vice versa and is made of an ultra light weight knit, and at just over £20 i think it's a great find! Worn with my trusty skinnies that are a bit tight but hey, and my beloved if a little battered Rebecca Minkoff bag - ALSO in total love with these Taco suede sandals from ASOS, they remind me of similar Toga Pulla designs but these have a much more friendly price tag, they come in brown suede too if you like your neutrals! The Monday Piece - Getting Organised

This week's Monday Piece is on blog organisation! I'm on a massive mission to be more organised and savvy with my blog, home and everything else that comes with it - this means being tidier, making better use of space, and making the most of what i have! Blog diaries and notebooks are great, whether it's for keeping track of posts, potential posts, emails and dates to remember like events and personal milestones, they are mega handy and i love writing things down and flicking back and forth at what's going on. Paperchase are ideal for diaries and organisers as they have a huge selection of different colours, prints and styles, plus they always have some mega cute bits and bobs! Other stationery items are great for getting organised too, like post-its and colourful pens and pencils, plus they look so cute on a desk or side table.

I've been looking for ways to promote my blog other than social media, and have rediscovered some old business cards i got made when i first started out - when i go to blog events and parties i always kick myself when i don't remember my cards, though they're a little out of date so i'm keen to get them upgraded and updated as they can open up so many doors and opportunities, plus they're a great way of starting a conversation with other bloggers and socialising too! Sooo i've been browsing online and looking for a decent site to make me some fab quality cards i can dish out to friends, bloggers, PR's and businesses - Where The Trade Buys offer high quality printing including selfie frames, banners, menus and business cards - and with next day delivery options there's no waiting for weeks on end for your business cards to arrive which is ideal for girls like me that leave everything until last minute, despite how organised i'm trying to be! Where the trade buys have single or double sided options, a selection of finishes, and different sizes, and you can download the template to easily personalise your design too, making it super simple to upload your artwork. Check out their business card options for yourself and get organised like i'm trying to!

I've selected some ace organisational bits below, i'm desperate to create a chilled, pretty desk space with a few fun things too, i love little plants and cactus, plus writing sets and notebooks - and i would love an Apple watch to keep track of my inbox, messages and dates for the diary! Ikea and Dunelm are fab for bargain desks, and that kind of furniture, so i might have a little look and get my organised space sorted!
