Twist & Tango printed jacket

I hope you're having a good week so far! Feeling a little smarter today in this printed Twist & Tango jacket, their new Winter collection is right up my street with lots of greys, blacks and dark colours and prints - they're a Swedish brand who make everyday dressing 'easy and effortlessly stylish'. It's available to buy from The Dressing Room, their new website has just launched and is super sleek and sharp, with an awesome collection of designer brands! The print on this jacket is quite jazzy, so i've kept the rest of the outfit simple, i love the fit as it's not too structured and the fabric is quite silky. I'm tempted by this cashmere beanie, it looks so soft! :).

Bakerdays Cake

Bakerdays are an online bakery, offering yummy cakes that can be delivered all over the UK. I'm coeliac so it can be tricky trying to find yummy gluten free things, but Bakerdays do a gluten free option which is great! You can pick any design from the website, or upload a unique image or design that you want to be iced on the cake. The Christmas themed cake below features a cute 3D design and a little message, the icing was soft and sweet, and the inside was a vanilla sponge with a layer of jam - it was surprisingly light, fresh and tasty. It's from the Letterbox Cake range, a small personalised cake for 1-2 people that fits through a letterbox - it came in a presentation tin to keep it protected whilst being delivered, and it arrived fully in tact - such a good idea and a thoughtful gift!
Bakerdays offer a next day delivery service that can include candles and balloons so it's great for all occasions whether it's a Birthday, Thank You or Christmas cake! There are various sizes of round cakes and cup cakes, flavours and designs, all of which are handmade using fresh ingredients. I was so pleased with the cake, the presentation and taste too :).

Brag Vintage

Oversized band t-shirts are so easy to wear, this Slayer tee is from Brag Vintage, an online vintage store founded in Sheffield in 2011. Each item is hand picked and unique, all of which are good quality vintage pieces. Brag Vintage have a huge selection of denim, knitwear, tops, shoes and accessories. This t-shirt is a large and from the Men's section but i think it's unisex, and of course i usually gor for an oversized 'big' fit anyway, i'm really pleased with how it's turned out. I've got my eye on this wolf top, i think it'd look good with some skinny jeans, boots and a biker jacket! Brag Vintage have new stock landing every day, so it's always worth checking back!
I found these leather style leggings in H&M for £14.99, they're tight without being too restricting, and have a soft, fleecy inside so are extra comfy - they have a bit of a stretch too. I'd been searching for ages but couldn't find a decent fitting pair, so these are a bargain!
I hope you like my outfit :).

The Monday Piece - Selfridges Birmingham Christmas Emporium

This week's Monday Piece is on the Selfridges Christmas Emporium in Birmingham. I was invited down last week to experience the Christmas Emporium, and was so excited to see what Selfridges had created. The emporium features areas for gifts, food, decorations and all other festive delights, whilst being surrounded by Christmas trees and glittering snowflakes - although it's October, it felt like Christmas being surrounded by all the amazing decorations and features!
The food available ranges from classic mini mince pies, to marzipan fruit and vegetables - i tried some of the gluten free Christmas cake which was so moist, fruity and delicious! Selfridges Hampers are always a great gift idea, and there's so much choice too - i loved the big hamper of chocolate, cake, cheese, wine and biscuits, a yummy treat for everyone. There are gifts available for all the family, including traditional board games like Monopoly, little stocking fillers like marbles and playing cards, and even a Cocktail Lovers gift set! Traditional Christmas themes and packaging feature throughout the emporium, as you would expect every item is packaged beautifully making every purchase a little bit special.
The Selfridges 'Elfridges' are on hand in each store, you can spot them easily with their pink and grey satin jackets, and they can help you to find suitable gifts, or to offer advice on all the lovely bits in store. If you're a little disorganised (like me) when it comes to buying gifts or generally getting everything sorted for Christmas, you can book a personal appointment with one of the Elfridges who will do it all for you, so easy and stress free!
The emporium is rather magical, i definitely recommend popping in for some festive fun and shopping!

What I Wore Today - Choies pink angora jumper

This super soft angora blend jumper from Choies is insanely fluffy and warm, it's like being cuddled! The sugary baby pink colour is so girly which I love, I've worn it with all black and an asymmetric pleather skirt from BANK - though the jumper is long enough to be worn as a little dress on its own but i like to have something underneath as an extra layer. The transparent shoulder detail is all mesh, which makes it feel quite glam and grown up, plus the balloon sleeves add even more quirkiness to it. These Tokyo Jane porcelain bracelets are so lovely to wear, they're really sleek and sit well on my wrists without being too heavy!
I hope you like my outfit :).

The Dressing Room Insiders Exclusive

On Wednesday i travelled down to St. Albans to attend The Dressing Room Insiders Exclusive day. The Dressing Room have been trading successfully for 8 and a half years, and have the most amazing boutique in the centre of St. Albans, as well as a website full of awesome designer and exclusive pieces. They're a multi award winning boutique, and pride themselves on the collection of brands they have to offer as well as the fantastic customer service. The Dressing Room was created by buyer and retail expert Deryane Tadd, a truly inspirational lady who is full of knowledge and passion!
I met with a few other bloggers, to look at the newly refurbished shop and rebranding - the shop is ultra glam, clean, fresh and modern. It's all open plan and really welcoming, plus the stylists are always on hand to assist with any potential purchases. I was styled by Amy and had Jaime looking after me too, they were so helpful and i tried things on that i wouldn't usually go for but ended up loving! They think about the whole outfit plus accessories, shoes and jewellery so it was really easy having everything all in one place - i loved the experience and had a great time.
I took a few pictures on the day, i loved the big rack of the Becksondergaard  scarfs, the dark red Sam Edelman boots, as well as the Tokyo Jane bracelets - i also tried on some classic versatile pieces like velvet J Brand trousers and some Dr. Denim printed jeans!
I definitely recommend popping into the shop, also the new website is set to launch next week - we had a little preview and it looks super sharp! The current website is still up, so you can shop everything here.

Choies Perspex Wedges

I hope you're having a good week so far! These perspex, pointed wedge boots are so quirky and surprsingly comfortable to walk in, and light too - i thought they might be a bit clumpy but they're not at all, the leather is really sleek and soft so they slip on and off easily. They're a great fit and true to size, i think they'll be great with skinny jeans tucked in too, that way i can sneak a pair of fleecy socks underneath! I've worn them with my printed jeans, and a shredded jumper from ASOS that is so slouchy and comfy, with extra long sleeves. I have lots of chunky jumpers but always look for a few finer knitted pieces that can be worn under jackets and coats, though i still go for an oversized fit!

What I Wore Today - Choies tartan panel coat

I love the boxy shape of oversized coats, this one from Choies is made of a thick, firm felt material and has a green tartan panel to the front and back. I wear lots of black, so thought it would be nice to start wearing a bit more navy and other dark colours with some slightly different textures too. The coat has a popper at the front and a collar that's hidden underneath my hair, i'd recommend sizing up if you fancy one yourself, also it comes in four different colour combinations! I've been wearing these boots so much, they're only £38 and i've been so pleased with them, the heel is blocky making them easy and comfy to walk in all day. I think i'll be investing in some more high neck tops too, they're easy to layer and mega versatile!

The Monday Piece - Proto-col LED lip gloss

This week's Monday Piece is on Proto-col LED lip gloss. It's a bit different to a normal lip gloss, as when you open it, it has a built in LED light with a mirror on the side so you can apply it wherever you are - even in the dark, crazy! The gloss is ultra lightweight and enriched with natural mineral oils to keep your lips 'soft, supple and hydrated', plus it's shimmery effect gives lips a subtle sheen and sparkle.
The colour is true to the shade in the packaging, and gives a high shine finish without being too sticky or heavy. It glides on well and lasts a good few hours, at first the applicator brush was a little stiff but this softens after a few applications. The colour i'm wearing is 'Abigail's Sparkle' and retails at £11.95 which i think is really reasonable, it would make such a cute gift too!

Pussycat London

Rainy pictures are a little annoying, but I wanted to show this pretty draped top from Pussycat London! It comes in a dress version too which is jus as nice, the top is made from a thick chiffon material and hangs just off the shoulders, i've dressed it up with some disco pants and asymmetric heels but it looks good with skinny jeans and boots too. Pussycat London have party dresses from only £9.99, and the 'New In' section is full of cosy knitwear! Plus you can get 30% off everything with the code BLOG30.
On Monday we travelled up to Liverpool to spend the night away, we had lots of yummy food and drink, and did some shopping and sightseeing. I'd not been since i was younger so it was good to go and explore it a little more, we loved it and will hopefully be returning soon - the people were so friendly and the docks area has been regenerated so it's just nice to walk around and have a nosey at everything!
I hope you like my outfit :).

Chobani Yoghurt Bloggers Dinner

On Wednesday night I was invited to a Chobani Yoghurt bloggers dinner at Edmunds Restaurant in Brindleyplace, Birmingham. The Birmingham blogging crew were all there - Carmen, Sara, Sophie, Hayley, Chloe and Emma as well as some new faces and food bloggers too. Chobani is a thick, strained yoghurt, high in protein and fat free! Upon arrival we were given lethal yummy Chobani cocktails, a concoction of alcohol, fruity stuff and Chobani Yoghurt. We all had a good catch up before being seated, and then given bubbly champagne before the food came out.

I'm no food blogger, but i do know that the whole thing was a taste sensation! The amuse bouche was first, it was leek and potato with Chobani yoghurt, creamy and refreshing. To start i opted for pigeon, it was fairly odd but once my mouth got used to it i really enjoyed it, the sauce and blueberry drizzle went really well together. The main was rare fillet beef, creamed potatoes, mushrooms and a Chobani gravy - it was so juicy and tasty! For dessert i chose Rum Baba, it was lovely and light so a great way to finish off my meaty meal. With each course came a different alcoholic beverage, white wine, red wine, more champagne...I'll be honest, i had a bit too much to drink and ended up with the weirdest photos...most of them were selfies and silly things, so i apologise for the lack of snaps but what can you do, i'm a lightweight.

The restaurant itself is really posh, Didier the chef is a little French man and did a great job with the Chobani inspired menu. I'm coeliac and find it difficult to eat out at restaraunts, however Edmunds catered for all my needs and more, so thank you very much! Also the service was impeccable and all the staff were just amazing, helpful and lovely - Jeff the waiter was a bit of a lad and looked after us so well! Thanks Jeff!
The whole night was SO much fun, we had lots of giggles and learned lots about Chobani as a brand, plus the drinks and fine dining was too yummy!
