The Monday Piece - Monki Tee

This week's Monday Piece is on this slogan tee from Monki! I've been browsing the shops online and instore recently, so thought i'd pop up an outfit to include some of my fave new season pieces. The tee is only £12 so a mega bargain, the Acne leather jacket is not so cheap but pound per wear and all that - plus i can never resist their classic style and shape, and i love the silver zips and hardware that would look ideal with the Proenza Schouler cross body bag! I'm all about timeless pieces like the Topshop Leigh jeans, they're easy to wear and great for all year round, and the Casadei heels are super sassy and simple. Some nude, neutral make up would finish off the outfit, the Charlotte Tilbury lipstick needs to be mine, along with sparkly nail varnish :).

The Monday Piece - Bullring Bloggers Event

This week's Monday Piece is on the amazing Bullring Bloggers Event i attended last week. The Bullring in Birmingham is one of my fave local shopping centres as they have the most awesome selection of shops, including big department stores, like Selfridges and Debenhams, that are a one stop shop for all your fashion and beauty needs! At the event we were treated to Nando's, drinks, blogger cakes and goodies, plus it was a great opportunity to chat with different brands like Karen Millen, Folli Follie, Umberto Giannini and lots of beauty brands too like Clarins, Shu Uemura and Urban Decay. There were lots of products to try and lots to learn, which is always good for someone like me who is a bit of a make up and skincare novice! It's always great seeing the local blogging girls, so i had a great night. We were treated to some fab gifts and samples to test out, so i'll be popping those up in a blog post soon :).

The Monday Piece - The City Rack

This week's Monday Piece is on The City Rack and this fab coral dress from their website! Orange hues are my new faves as it makes my skin look quite tan which is good! The City Rack stock a large range of dresses and other clothes, as well as shoes and accessories, all are quite glam and ideal for events or parties. This crepe dress feels really light and is made of a soft, stretchy fabric, with a cowl neck and asymmetric design i think it's got such a classy look to it. It also comes with a waist belt, though i've not worn it in the snaps, which has a shiny gold finish. I've popped on a biker jacket too!

The Monday Piece - LOOK Magazine for Little Mistress

This weeks Monday Piece is on LOOK Magazine for Little Mistress! The brand have recently launched their full collection in collaboration with best selling UK fashion mag LOOK Magazine, that offers a selection of beautiful occasion dresses and jumpsuits. All pieces are so pretty and flattering, with a real feminine feel that are classics with a twist! This tomato red embroidered dress is my top choice from the collection, it also comes in a royal blue, as I love the sheer chest and sleeve detail and fitted shape. Now then, I have customised the dress slightly by wondawebbing the bottom to make it a bit shorter, because I'm petite it suits my style a little better - so normally the dress is a little longer than this! I would recommend going down a size as I find Little Mistress to come up quite big, I didn't however and it still fits well, I love the style and it really is ideal for a few parties I've got coming up!

The Monday Piece - Sonisphere 2014

This weeks Monday Piece is on Sonisphere! Me and G love a bit of heavy metal and rock music, and when we saw Metallica were headlining Sonisphere on the Sunday we had to get tickets to go. We just went for the day and hadn't been before, but we had the best day ever and all the bands were awesome. Our highlights were Airbourne, who were properly crazy and put on a class performance, Mastodon, and Metallica who's set was almost 3 hours long - they were ridiculously good and the crowd went nuts for them, plus they did an awesome encore and played a set requested by the audience so it was mega! I recommend a million times over seeing them if you ever get chance, and before they get too old ha! I didn't snap many pictures as I was having too much fun, but wore the standard shredded denim shorts, oversized tee and boots for festival wear. I'd love to know if you've been to any awesome festivals this Summer!

The Monday Piece - Vesper Dresses Co-Ord

This week's Monday Piece is on this amazing pretty co-ord from Vesper Dresses! The Japanese style print and multi colours are super summery and girly, and i love the form fitting fabric as it makes a change from my usual oversized styles, plus i'm flashing a little bit of skin which doesn't happen very often but i had to make an exception! It looked quite small when it came out of the packaging and i didn't think i'd get it on, but the textured material is mega stretchy - also it doesn't go see through which is always important, it feels so glam to wear too! The silver and rose quartz bracelet is from Laney Del and is so dainty and sweet, i love understated jewellery and simple designs - they also do earrings, necklaces and rings which are equally as cute :).

The Monday Piece - 3.1 Phillip Lim Medium Pashli

This week's Monday piece is on this incredible 3.1 Phillip Lim Medium Pashli bag. I recently won a pretty awesome competition from GLAM and this bag was the prize along with some amazing other goodies including sunglasses, make up, stationary and Colgate goodies - it's so classic and feels super duper to wear! It really is a massive treat, the leather smells so good and i've been wearing it in the last few days, the pebbled leather is getting softer and you can fit so much in it because the zips open up creating a trapeze look meaning more room! The gold hardware is so sleek and it also comes with a detachable shoulder strap. GLAM have lots of competitions running via they're Twitter and their website too, so do pop over and have a look, of course i am mega grateful for winning a prize like this, i'll cherish my Pashli forever, thank you GLAM!

The Monday Piece - Father's Day Gift Idea, Bluebeards Revenge

This week's Monday Piece is on Bluebeards Revenge - as Father's Day is this weekend it's time to buy cards and gifts for the men in our lives, whether that's boyfriends, Dads or brothers, it's always nice to treat the guys on Father's Day! Bluebeards Revenge is a male skincare and shaving range designed for men with Desperate Dan style beards who struggle to get a soft, clean finish and for those who want to take the chore style feeling out of shaving. As well as giving an extra close, smooth shave, the paraben free products also help to reduce hair growth, ingrown hairs, lumps and bumps. Glyndwr has been trying out the shaving solution and spray, they smell so refreshing, not too overpowering and work really well together - plus they came in fab packaging which is always a bonus! The range is fairly large, with pre and post shave balms, body sprays and perfumes, razors, brushes and creams - if the selection is a little overwhelming there's also some great gift sets to choose from that are just right for Father's Day. The products can be bought in store from Tesco, Holland and Barrett and GNC, also online at Feel Unique, ASOS and Amazon :).

The Monday Piece - Chicnova Maxi Dress

This week's Monday Piece is on this maxi dress from Chicnova - as i've said 100 times i'm quite short so usually avoid maxi dresses unless they're tight, but i made an exception for this printed one! The fabric is stretchy which i didn't expect, so i ordered a size up which definitely wasn't needed - so order you're usual size if you fancy it. The v at the front is quite deep so i wore a lace bralette underneath, and my chunky sandals give me a little height so the dress doesn't quite touch the floor! I like it as it's something i wouldn't usually pick, and the fabric flows nicely with a split up the leg :).

The Monday Piece - Slides

This week's Monday Piece is on slides - i mentioned in my previous post i'd bought a pair so here they are! I must admit i was a little relieved when this style started popping up in magazines and the high street as this Summer's shoe trend, as they are just so comfy and easy to wear! I originally chose a pair of classic Adidas plastic slides, but when they were delivered they were so small and didn't feel too great, so instead found this Park Lane pair on ASOS. I love the calf hair effect and criss cross straps, i've been wearing them with skinny jeans and oversized tees!

The Monday Piece - Guide London

This week's Monday Piece is on Guide London, a menswear brand specialising in formal and casual shirts. Guide London kindly sent my boyfrend, Glyndwr, one of their new season shirts to wear, so I'll hand it over to him to say a few words on the shirt! "I chose the shirt because I thought the pastel colours were nice and summery and with wedding season coming up, probably made the most appeal to a wider audience. The fabric was very soft and comfortable and kept me very cool. It has a button down collar which is a must have for me, but manages to stay casual, even though it has a smart formal look to it. The colours are great and would definitely compliment all styles." I think Glyndwr looks great and I'm a big fan of the shirt  - I love classic tailoring so the smart fit and neutral pastels are fab. Guide have a large selection of styles, colours and sizes so we definitely recommend it to all chaps out there looking to add to their shirt collection!

The Monday Piece - Monsoon, Swimwear & Sunshine Essentials

This week's Monday Piece is on Monsoon and their new video featuring their top picks and essentials for Summer and what to pack to take on holiday! Every season Monsoon nail the print trends, and this season is no different - whether you're after a tie dye piece, a multi coloured bikini, or a printed Playsuit there's a huge choice of amazing clothing at Monsoon. One of my favourite Summer items has to be the embroidered kimono with fringedetail, it's a classic piece with a real boho feel to it - worn with some crochet shorts and a simple vest, or over a swimsuit on the beach it's amazing! As well as this the video also shows off the fab selection of  beach and holiday accessory essentials. Oversized floppy hats are guarenteed to glam up an easy outfit, then add some protective, statement sunglasses and layered jewellery and you're good to go! The new beach bags and Summer bags are ideal for holiday, the rucksack is just right for popping flight essentials in and will double up as a holiday bag for taking to the beach. Of course embellished maxi dresses also feature in the new collection - so easy to throw one on with a pair of simple Monsoon leather sandles, it makes a stunning outfit just right for an evening of paella and sangria on the seafront!
I hope enjoy the video :).

The Monday Piece - Gilly Hicks

This week's Monday Piece is on Gilly Hicks - one of my current favourite place to get cute, everyday undies! I'd not heard of the shop before but my boyfriend took me in whilst we were shopping in Cardiff a little while ago and i've been a bit addicted ever since! They're part of the Abercrombie group which is usually a little preppy for me but I instantly fell in love with the cute, feminine underwear and loungewear in Gilly Hicks. They're shutting all of their high street shops, which is sad, but they have an awesome website so it's all good!  The site is based in the States, but all shipping fees include customs so you don't have to worry about that (I've recently ordered three times and not had any customs charges). I'm a big fan of the pretend bra, especially in summer, as bralettes are so comfy and look great under draped vests and cami tops, so I've taken a few snaps of some I've recently ordered! I also ordered lots of their undies and lounge clothes too as it's all really well made and looks fab - it can be fairly pricey but they often have discount codes and special offers so do check those out if you're thinking of ordering!

The Monday Piece - My Trendy Phone

This weeek's Monday Piece is on gadget and accessory website My Trendy Phone who recently asked if i'd like to review something from their site. As my iPad is pretty much permanently glued to my hand i thought i'd give the 'Universal pivot tablet holder' a try - it's easy to set up and ideal if you use your tablet as a computer, as the joints are on pivots you can turn it to whatever shape you like so you can view your tablet at different angles. The support the holder provides is great and it has little grips so it stops it from sliding around, it's also really light without feeling flimsy and is easy to fold up and pop in your handbag to carry around with you. I've been loving this practical gadget and makes blogging on the move so easy! Of course My Trendy Phone also stocks phone and other gadget accessories too, from cases to phone charms, so is worth a look if you're a gadget geek like me!
What gadgets are you loving recently?

The Monday Piece - John Frieda Frizz Ease

This week's Monday Piece is on the new range of Frizz Ease products from John Frieda. As i have long, naturally frizzy, unmanageable hair, i'm often looking for new products that will make my hair sleek, smooth and frizz free. I thought it would be an ideal time to try the products too, as we're in that weird weather transition where it's getting more humid and we're experiencing that horrid fuzzy rain that always causes my hair to frizz!

Frizz Ease has been around for a while and was one of the first products i started using on my hair, so was looking forward to trying the new range. The shampoo and conditioner are both fab, they have a light scent and left my hair feeling soft and light, with no residue. Following this i used the styling spray, claiming to keep my hair straight for up to 3 days i was unsure how it would turn out but it was amazing - it left me with much fewer flyaways and kept my hair straight and sleek - the formula is heat activated so is designed to work along side blow dryers and hair straighteners, as these are the tools i usually use it's ideal for me! To finish of the sleek style i applied the polishing serum, which smells SO good and left my hair super shiny and soft. I can't wait to continue using these products and definitely recommend them if your long hair needs taming :).

The Monday Piece - Spoiled Brat Outfit Challenge

This week's Monday Piece is on Spoiled Brat and a £50 outfit challenge! I chose this awesome Somedays Lovin oversized vest/tee, the jersey fabric is so soft and hangs really well - i got a size small and it fits great, plus it's only £30 in the sale with an extra 20% off at the checkout with the code SALE14. The little hamsa necklace is by Kool Jewels and is £9, i love anything gold so thought it would look great with the black top. I bought these leggings from Primark for £2, then the amazing cut out boots are ShoeZone and at a bargain price of £19.99 you really can't go wrong. Finally i threw on my favourite Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat kimono that i got from eBay for under a tenner - so the total of the whole outfit is £66 which i think is pretty good! There are some absolute steals over at Spoiled Brat so head over and check it out, there's also a whole load of new season goodness from cult brands like MinkPink and Rock and Religion, love!

The Monday Piece - JeweShop

This week's Monday piece is on JeweShop jewellery. They have some amazing pieces including sparkly crystal jewellery and simple things too like the gold pebble bracelet i'm wearing - i also selected this stainless steel numerical rose gold ring, it's a great fit and came in a cute presentation box! They also have some dainty little anklets which would be ideal for Summer sandals. I can't believe how cold it's been the last few days, so i've been braving the elements in my cosy bobble hat and chunky knitwear :).
