The Monday Piece - Faithfull The Brand Playsuit

This week's Monday Piece is on this Faithfull The Brand playsuit! We took a trip to Byron Bay on Saturday which is a little town in New South Wales, it's surrounded by beautiful beaches and rainforest, and is a tourist hotspot for travellers as well as local Australian's - it has a real hippy vibe and everyone is so chilled out there and friendly! I took some photos so will include these in another post soon! We did a little shopping whilst we were there as it is full of amazing Aussie boutiques stocking local labels and amazing treasures. We went to the famous SPELL boutique which has been relocated out of town to a bigger shop which is stunning, they didn't have much of what i was after though but i did end up finding a new boutique called Cinecitta, owned by Gemma Ward (who was in store and looking beautiful), where i spotted this boho playsuit by Faithfull The Brand. Their pieces are handmade in Bali and so when you pick something printed it's one of a kind, i adore the caramel colour and draped design, the back is also draped and backless making it ultra lightweight and so comfy - i grabbed a small which is a UK 8-10 and is definitely true to size. I know you can buy Faithfull The Brand in the UK via ASOS but it's a little more expensive than buying it in Australia, i want one of each of their current designs so i'm sure you'll find something you fancy too :).

May Lust List

I'm loving light nude coloured pieces this month as they look so fresh and have a romantic style about them. A simple light pink coloured linen dress looks so chic and understated during the Summer, and can be worn with some nude strappy sandals and a nude leather handbag for an all peachy nude look! The Miss Selfridge ruffle peach camisole is such a pretty colour with a hint of coral, the spaghetti straps and ruffles make it ultra feminine and flouncy - i'd pair it with some grey skinny jeans and lace up sandals for a more dressed down look. I can never miss out on an opportunity to pair my high street outfits with a luxe accessory, especially handbags...the red Alexander Wang bucket bag is such an eye catcher with its ultra smooth leather and clunky silver hardware, i'm always checking The Outnet for great pieces like this that are such bargains in the sale!

I'm not a fan of wearing tight clothing during the warmer Summer months so i look out for loose pieces in cotton and linen fabrics, they keep you cool and look fresh and summery too. I've been browsing http://www.simons.ca/ for pretty one shouldered linen playsuits, loose slip dresses and mesh dresses that look great worn over a bikini when hanging out at the pool or beach! Of course i had to include a star print piece in my selection, the asymmetric star dress is floaty and a little grungy, and for £18.00 it's definitely a guilt free purchase - leaving extra £££ to save towards one of the luxe handbags!

The Monday Piece - Chanel 5161 Sunglasses at Pretavoir

This week's Monday Piece is on Chanel 5161 sunglasses at Pretavoir! I've not bought any new sunglasses since last year so when these caught my eye i thought why not treat myself - for brand new Chanel the price is really reasonable and i loved the lightly printed style to make a change from my all black pairs otherwise. Whenever i fancy a mooch at some glasses or sunglasses, Pretavoir is my go to site, it has an impressive selection of styles including new and classic variations, plus all items are 100% genuine so there's no grey area when it comes to authenticity, which is the most important thing to me when buying luxury pieces.

Also their customer service totally rocks - as Chanel wish to maintain an exclusive element to their products and the way you shop the brand, you are able to reserve the pieces you want to purchase by adding them to the basket and completing the order without actually purchasing them. Pretavoir then arrange to call you (or vice versa) to confirm which style you want to buy, they then physically check the stock room to ensure your desired item is in stock, then lastly confirm your shipping destination and collect payment.

They run a seriously tight ship and i love the personal service you receive when purchasing Chanel at Pretavoir - as i'm based in Australia i chose the standard shipping service which somehow arrived in three working days...most likely on a magic carpet as that is amazingly quick! My sunglasses arrived in a neat white box, inside the box you receive the original outer Chanel box, authenticity documents, invoice, care booklet, sunglasses box, pouch, cleaning cloth, and a Chanel carrier bag too - i loved unwrapping it all and pulling out the black lace style 5161 Chanel sunglasses, i chose the almost rectangular shape as i didn't want a big oversized pair and thought these were different enough in style and shape to my other styles. They fit really well, have classic silver hardware, and look pretty darn chic so i'm happy, and definitely recommend you check out Pretavoir for any luxury styles you might have your eye on!

Missguided Crochet Dress

We were forecast a huge storm this weekend but it came and went on Friday meaning we've had some lovely sunshine over the past few days instead so i thought it'd be a great chance to put on my white crochet Missguided dress! I've had this a little while but haven't got round to wearing it much, the fabric is really light and it has navy crochet detailing giving it a Greek kind of vibe - the back is really low and it laces up at the bottom so it looks really pretty, it's not a great fit though as the front drapes really low and is fairly loose. The reviews said to size down so that's what i did, i'm usually an 8-10 but went for a 6 and it's still loose around the top...it was cheap though so i guess you get what you pay for!
On Friday we braved the rain and walked over to the isle of Capri where they have the most amazing vintage luxury store selling preloved Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci and more - i'm really getting into preloved lately as everyone seems to be wearing the same kind of designer bags, when i'm spending £££ on designer pieces like handbags i look for something a little 'different' or maybe even a line that's been discontinued - it's much more fun to wear something not everyone else has and with the top crop of designers, handbags pretty much always hold their value, if not increasing in value as time goes on. There were so many styles including classic pieces as well as limited edition pieces, i managed to hold myself back but we'll wait and see how long that lasts...We then hopped on a bus to Burleigh for an acai bowl and to browse their stunning boutiques, then on the way back we stopped off at the library to lend a few books - reading on the beach listening to the ocean is the ideal thing to do to unwind!

The Monday Piece - Black and Florals

This week's Monday Piece is on black and florals! I'm not really a florals kind of girl, especially 'ditsy' prints, but this season has some pretty feisty bold prints as well as pretty satin pieces that can easily grunged up with some black leather or high hemlines. The boohoo satin asymmetric dress is ultra slinky and would look great with a bralette underneath and some ultra pretty pink satin mules. I adore the Alexander Wang feather bucket bag, the fluffiness is so fun and the bucket style is ideal for everyday - it would look awesome with a one shouldered top and lace up skirt plus some strappy sandals. As always i'm coveting OTT footwear, the Kurt Geiger slip on trainers have a netted veil in the shape of a bow...they aren't that practical but they would definitely stand out when worn with a casual jeans and t-shirt look! I've included some other printed accessories too like the neckerchief and belt that are great for mixing up classic items or monochrome outfits - are you a fan of floral prints?

Silver Cami Top

A quick outfit post from this weekend wearing a cami i picked up from New Look for under £10! Yesterday we went to Brisbane for the day where we hung out at Southbank, a big area of parkland, walkways and promenade with lots to see and do - we walked down the river and around the little beach they have there with swimming pools surrounded by palm trees and greenery, it's really peaceful and has a great vibe too, plus there are lots of eateries and cafes if you're after a spot of lunch or a coffee. We then went to GOMA, a museum dedicated to modern art which was really inspiring and full of creatives, after a busy morning we grabbed lunch from Vegerama - a vegan and gluten free restaurant where i had a big bowl of tasty nachos! We then headed over the bridge into the city for more sightseeing and of course a browse of the shops before getting the train home. I fancied a really chilled day today so we ventured to the cinema to watch 'Going Out In Syle' then finished the day with a bit of shopping at Harbour Town!

The Monday Piece - Zara White Skort

This week's Monday Piece is on this Zara white skort! A mega quick outfit update from the weekend, i picked up this skort from Zara as i love the clean white colour and sporty but simple style, it comes in a few other colours too and is fab for Summer. I've worn it with a draped top, Marc Jacobs bucket bag, and my much loved lace up boots that i'm desperate to find in a grey suede combo!

Pink Summer Pieces

I've been inspired by the stunning pink Australian sunsets so i've been reaching out for everything pink and pretty lately! Whether it's a nude, electric, blush, or bright pink i just can't get enough of the ultra girly colour and styles - it's a little unusual for me as i tend to stick to my neutral colour palette during all seasons, but the sunshine is definitely making me want something a bit more feminine. I'm obsessed with laid back, boho pieces that you can literally throw on and go, so the dusky pink chiffon shirt is ticking all of my boxes, i'd wear it with some vintage denim Levi shorts and sandals, i adore it. The over the top tutu is very Carrie Bradshaw so that's a good enough excuse to buy one...plus you can pick this one up on Amazon for only £15.00! River Island have some awesome Summer pieces in, the gingham crop top is really versatile and a mega cute shape, and the lace embroidered bralette would look so chic under an unbuttoned loose fit white shirt. As always i'm spying on some luxe accessories to complete my look, the Saint Laurent heart shaped bag with gold hardware is like a Barbie bag, SO cute - also the velvet Gucci bag makes a nice change from leather, and the plush fabric is ideal for elevating an everyday outfit! The Fenty Puma by Rihanna satin sneakers look mega comfy and the simple style is great for the minimalist outfits i often put together, they definitely have the girly factor without being too 'sickly'. Are you a pink fan?
