The Monday Piece - A Visit From My Sister

This week's Monday Piece is on a visit from my sister! My sister joined Nick and I for ten days to celebrate my birthday this weekend and to spend some time exploring the city - it was the biggest treat having her here and sharing our Tokyo experiences! We spent the time sightseeing, eating, shopping and being tourists in the city which is always a great reminder of how much excitement and diversity is out there to explore :).

The Monday Piece - The Best Ice Cream in Tokyo, Paletas

This week's Monday Piece is on the best ice cream in Tokyo, Paletas! Like most people I'm a huge ice cream lover, and Japan is a nation of dairy lovers so I've been trying many styles, flavours and delights during my time here... But there is one store that I always go back to, Paletas. Located in Harajuku, Paletas serves up an absolute treat of ice lolly ice creams, including lots of vegan and gluten free options too, the star of the show has to be pistachio and raspberry - it's a muat try if you're in the area!

The Monday Piece - Hello Kitty Gift Gate Japan

This week's Monday Piece is on Hello Kitty Gift Gate Japan! Hello Kitty is obviously Japan's biggest icon, forget Mt. Fuji or hot springs, Hello Kitty is Japan's princess and the nations sweetheart. So naturally there is a plethora of HK stores called 'Gift Gate' that offer a full Sanrio experience - whether you're a fan of My Melody, Hello Kitty or Little Twin Stars (amongst many others) you're sure to find a treat in store. Even if you're not a fan you ought to check it out as kawaii culture is integral to many Japanese! Look how they wrapped my gift that I bought for myself, adorable!

The Monday Piece - Round 1 Stadium Odaiba Spo-cha

This week's Monday Piece is on Round 1 Stadium Odaiba Spo-cha! Today Nick and I took a trip to Odaiba to the huge Round 1 stadium - a sports venue type place where you pay for how many hours you'd like to play, they have everything from batting cages to football, roller skating, basketball, segways, pool, karaoke, boxing, unlimited arcade games and so many others! It's the ideal place to go on a rainy day, or even if you just fancy exerting some energy. I highly recommend it and suggest you take a whole day (or evening, it's open until 6am) to make the most of it and enjoy! All the details can be found here :).
