This week's Monday Piece is on Barbie X Hello Kitty! I had to share this amazing cute collaboration between Barbie and Hello Kitty - I've seen this available in just a few specialist stores in Tokyo and although it's a little pricey (around £150.00) it's a true collectors piece and definitely unique. Kawaii collaborations like this are fairly common in Japan so it's kind of a problem for me because I want everything all the time... :)

The Monday Piece - Aoyama Flower Market Tea House
This week's Monday Piece is on Aoyama Flower Market Tea House! On Sunday I took a trip to the prettiest little cafe that's pretty much a cross between a greenhouse, florist and cafe. It's covered in plants and flowers - on the walls, on the ceiling, under the table, in your drink, it's a never ending flower fest. Sadly they had zero gluten free options (standard Tokyo) so I ended up having a mint soda which was oh so fresh but fairly standard and definitely overpriced. The adjacent florist sells luscious plants and flowers too so it's a lovely space to enjoy a catch up with friends or solo date!

The Monday Piece - Travelling Japan, Sapporo, Osaka and Kyoto
This week's Monday Piece is on Travelling Japan, Sapporo, Osaka and Kyoto! A few pictures from our winter trip travelling Japan - we had an awesome time spending time in Sapporo, Osaka and Kyoto where we did lots of sightseeing and checking out historic sights! Getting out of Tokyo to explore more of the country was just what we wanted, the other cities were definitely less hectic and more chilled which was a refreshing change to everyday Tokyo life :).

The Monday Piece - Gluten Free Pancake Cafe Sapporo
This week's Monday Piece is on gluten free pancake cafe Sapporo! Nick and I had a very beautiful snowy stay in Sapporo at the end of last year just after Christmas - we were desperate to get out of Tokyo and explore more of the country we live in. Though trying to find eateries to cater for our diets is not easy, especially outside Tokyo, BUT Google is a wonderful thing and I managed to track down a gluten free pancake cafe, Hidden Ave. Cakes! It wasn't too far from our hotel so we hopped on the train and walked in the heavy snow to the pancake kingdom, where we were greeted with the fluffiest, softest, lightest pancakes everrr. The menu is tiny, I think there were maybe only four options as well as coffee but it's good for me as it takes me less time to order when I'm not overwhelmed with choices. I 100% recommend it, find the website right here if you're ever in Sapporo.
