This week's Monday Piece is on weekend brunch with Togo! On Saturday I popped to Worcester for brunch with a friend then lunch with my sister and a little bit of shopping. I took Togo with me to socialise him so we spent lots of time chatting with dog mummies which was lovely! He enjoyed stretching his legs around town and getting lots of fuss. I ate many treats in the form of a naughty breakfast followed by more bread... After a busy few weeks at work it was lovely to chill and catch up :).

The Monday Piece - This Is Holistic London
This week's Monday Piece is on This Is Holistic London! Feeling like life is a blur with a million thoughts running free but finding it impossible to pause. We know, it’s hard. We know it can be tough to find some time for yourself. According to a piece of research conducted by Holistic London they found that 7 out of 10 people crave mindfulness and relaxation. The study was based on 4000 cases in the UK. This prompted Holistic London to create a Mindful Ritual that allows connecting with the inner self and find some space for rest, clarity and rejuvenation.
The Mindful Box contains a curated selection of items for a mindfulness and appreciation ritual:
Neroli + Chamomile Candle: Ground yourself in the present moment - appreciate what surrounds you at that exact second. Let the soothing essential oils help you to connect with your own needs, becoming more aware of yourself.
Lavender Tea: Slow down and even stop – Take a sip and switch your attention from everything to one thing. This sends a clear sign to the brain to unwind and relax.
Lavender + Chamomile Bath Salts: Breath in and be mindful of your physical postures. Relax body from tip to toe paying more attention to shoulders and jaw, letting go the frowning.Inspiring Journal: Take a moment to appreciate. Feel thankful for all that’s good your world. Pause and write down those small or big things that bring you joy, this will boost optimism and strengths resilience.
Lavender Pillow Mist: Put Pillow Talk into practice: Appreciate yourself. Let that little voice inside you take good care of yourself, and steer away from the unkind and demeaning things we sometimes tell ourselves.Velvet Sleep Mask: Switch off completely. Surrender to sleep, which is an essential pillar of wellbeing. Recover from the day and rebuild energy. There’s an endless list of benefits coming from sleeping well, some of those are: improve concentration, immune system, memory and reduce stress levels. The Mindful Box costs £55 from ThisIsHolisticLondon.com :).

The Monday Piece - Puppy Update
This week's Monday Piece is on puppy update! We've had Togo for just over five weeks now and he's definitely settled in. He's growing up so fast but is still loving tummy rubs and lots of cuddles! This weekend we took him out for his first walk which he absolutely loved and also introduced him to our friends miniature dachshund - it was love at first sight. Having a puppy is a full time situation so we're still learning so much about him :).

The Monday Piece - Hyper Reality Gaming Bar
This week's Monday Piece is on Hyper Reality Gaming Bar!
Hyper Reality, the cyberpunk gaming venue complete with a dry bar, has reopened with new comprehensive Covid-safe initiatives.
London’s most popular Fun & Games activity on TripAdvisor , Hyper Reality is an East London bar that combines the nostalgic gaming experience with the technologies of the future. Customers of all ages can escape from reality and immerse themselves in a host of games that use state-of-the-art V-R technology and tactile feedback from jackets, handsets and seats.
As well as a downstairs Lounge kitted out with old school video games and a karaoke room, Hyper Reality has three immersive spaces, each bringing top-of-the-range V-R experiences to a host of games.
The Arena brings gamers to the heart of the action, battling the zombie apocalypse or fighting in the boxing ring with 360 degree V-R action and jackets that vibrate when they are struck. Place with No Name allows gamers to use V-R to explore and interact with new worlds, hunting wizards in a castle or wandering the halls of a haunted hotel. Rollercoasters puts gamers in the middle of a race or rollercoaster experience, with a moving, vibrating car seat, complete with pedals and a steering wheel.
The Hyper Dry Bar has a fully non-alcoholic drinks menu to keep customers’ reflexes razor sharp for their next adventure in V-R. In keeping with the abstinence trend among young people , the bar offers non-alcoholic beers from ---- and adult mocktails from non-alcoholic brand Three Spirit. Additionally, guests can get fresh popcorn from the machine and choose from a gourmet selection of coffees, teas and milkshakes.
Games sessions can be booked in two hour slots or on a ‘pay as you play’ basis. They can be played solo or in groups of up to four people.
For those who like their nostalgia a little bit more like what they remember, The Lounge downstairs is full of fantastic retro games of yesteryear, from Wii to Nintendo and back even further. With retro, cyberpunk Japanese artwork on the wall, this is the perfect place to chill out with a drink from the bar before or after a big V-R session upstairs.
Hyper-Reality also has a Blade Runner-themed private members area, complete with a projector and a host of games, not to mention a karaoke set where people can sing and play to their hearts’ content. This looks so epic :).
