Merry Hill Autumn Winter Style Academy Event

I recently attended a style academy session at Intu Merry Hill, to celebrate their autumn/winter shopping event! Hosted by the wonderful Emily Jayne, myself and a few other bloggers popped along to my fave shopping centre in the Midlands, Intu Merry Hill for a style academy master-class on the new trends this season and how to wear them. Just outside of Birmingham Intu Merry Hill is a big shopping complex with food hall, cinema and of course lots of shops to explore, i love it as it has all of the best high street shops without having that 'hectic' feel to it! Emily had picked out trends from the shops inside the centre like River Island, New Look, Oasis and Boux Avenue, the 70's trend was one of my favourites as well as grunge (of course!) and i also spotted the most amazing shaggy gilet i need to go and try on! There was also big attention on accessories this season as they can transform a simple outfit, i loved the colourful handbags which are ideal to brighten up my often dark outfits, and the floppy hats and pointed studded shoes were awesome too.
As well as the fashion we were also given hair tutorials and tips on how to maintain and protect our hair, again having a sleek 'hair do' can tie a whole look together. After this we munched on Nandos which was so tasty, and had an embroidery class where we created our own studded collars to take away with us. I love the idea of the style academy as there's so much to learn about fashion, trends and beauty each new season, also this weekend Emily has been holding blogger master-classes in the centre too! We each took away our own style academy satchel with treats from the centre for completing the session, and i managed to fit a little shopping in on the night too as it's open until 9pm during the week :). Thank you very much to Merry Hill for having me!
