A teeny tiny post today, i recently won a competittion on Twitter with The Dressing Room so thought it would be nice to show you! This little watch is from Olivia Burton, with a gold face and yellow leather strap it's such a charming little piece to brighten up my bare wrists. The dainty bead bracelet is from ChloBo, equally as cute - and the zesty colours of both pieces look great together! The Dressing Room are a multi award winning boutique who also have a website full of designer clothes, shoes and accessories, it's a real treasure trove so prepare to be tempted! You can check them out here :).

Traffic People
I hope you're enjoying the week. I wore this dress a few days ago with some black boots and a fedora but the snaps turned out rubbish so i've redone them and styled it slightly differently to make it a bit more dressy. The dress is from Traffic People and came wrapped in shiny baby pink packaging, with little cartoony labels which was just so cute and girly! It fits so well, and it has a tiny crochet/knitted pattern, it pulls in at the waist and the bottom is floaty, with bell bottom sleeves - it's an easy style to wear and a great dress to dress up or dress down. I've styled it really simply, with some strappy heels and a little necklace. Traffic People make very pretty, girly, feminine clothes - the new A/W range features lots of frills and fluffy things, there's an amazing pink furry coat i've got my eye on, you can check out the website here.

What I wore today - Lush t-shirts
I hope you had a lovely Bank Holiday weekend. Slogan t-shirts are everywhere
at the moment, especially designer inspired styles, like this Chanel esque
version i'm wearing from Lush T-shirts - they have lots of funny styles and slogans, and they're only £14.99! I've added my multicolour kimono and cut out boots for an easy, on the go outfit. I do like this kimono, but it's kind of tricky to wear and it's fairly long for a shorty like me so can get stuck underneath my shoes - it's good to swish around in though. I'd love a short velvet kimono for autumn, this one from ASOS is so jazzy!
I hope you like my outfit :)

The Monday Piece - Taylor Swift for Keds
This weeks Monday Piece is on Taylor Swift and her collaboration with Keds. As you may know, I love flat shoes whether it's trainers, pumps, or plimsolls. I do a lot of walking and although I want my footwear to look good, it must be comfortable too. All American girl Taylor Swift is famed for her huge pop and country music career - her style is fairly traditional, preppy and girly and she always looks chic and classic. Taylor has teamed up with Keds shoes to create a sassy new range, featuring lots of different prints, colours and styles, there's even a pair with miniature guitars on! I've chosen a blue and white smudge/polka dot print pair, i have a classic black pair too that I wear all the time, so I'm exited to get this little pair on my feet - they are so versatile, I'll be wearing mine with shorts, little dresses and skinny jeans.

What I wore today - Zara jersey sweater
I hope you're enjoying the bank holiday weekend! Yesterday we went to Birmingham for a little shopping, I had a browse of the new collection things and it all looks fab - tartan, leather, black...yum! Today we've been to a family christening in Shropshire which is such a beautiful county, I always enjoy catching up with extended family as we don't get to see each other that often. I've been dressed up all day in a smart dress and heels, so when I got home I wanted to be comfy ready for chilling out. I bought this lightweight sweater in the Zara sale for £5.99, it's so soft and cosy whilst not being too thick or heavy for the muggy weather. These shorts are from the two piece set from Choies I wore a few weeks ago, jersey stuff is just too comfy and easy for lazy girls like me!

What I wore today - Lush scarves and asos
All black
with a dash of multi coloured ombre in the form of this pretty chiffon scarf from lush scarves, it's like a sunset and is kind of tie dye too so i likeee it a lot. They sell loads of different styles and colours, this one is quite big so doubles up as a kimono, yay! Bad hair day alert, i had a bad experience a few nights ago when i discovered, half way through showering, that there was no conditioner to be seen...it took me 40 minutes to brush it afterwards, and it was like straw the following morning so i've been trying to rescue it ever since with serums, treatments and oils, first world problems. This little cami dress is from ASOS and was only £12, i was bored of seeing my legs so wore some leggings underneath. In other news i got pooed on my a bird whilst walking to work today, not ideal but what can you do, that's nature!
Hope you like my outfit :)!

Notonthehighstreet.com Review - Daniel Wellington
I was recently contacted by Notonthehighstreet.com to do a little review for them. They have such an abundance of beautiful things; clothes, shoes, jewellery, house and garden things, gifts - SO much! I browsed the site for ages but finally picked this watch from Daniel Wellington, the classic Nato Watch features a simplistic yet stylish face set on an interchangeable nato strap (other colours and styles available). The timepiece is ultra thin so sits close to the wrist and accentuates the classic style - i fell in love with the rose gold finish and very British coloured strap. My wrists are quite small so i wanted something feminine but a little different, so this was just right, and it fits so well as there's lots of holes so suitable for all sizes! The watch arrived in protective packaging and a leather box, they also offer next day delivery so you don't have to wait ages for your goodies to arrive, happy days! Whether you're after a special gift for someone, or you fancy treating yourself, notonthehighstreet is a great place to look, with presents and other 'stuff' for all ages and personalities you're sure to find something.

The Monday Piece - Hawaiian prints
This week's Monday Piece is on hawaiian prints. When i think of hawaiian clothing all that springs to mind is those ultra bright shirts with palm trees and parrots that British men wear on holiday, and also Club Tropicana by Wham, haha! It's a style i wouldn't usually go for, but i liked the pastel pink colour of the shorts and thought the print was a bit more delicate and subtle compared to other crazy hawaiian prints.
Silky fabrics can be a little unforgiving, so i paired the shorts with a sheer tee and some Converse from Urban Surfer. This is my first ever pair of Converse, i can't believe i've never owned any before - i must have lived a sheltered life! I'm after a little bubblegum pink cami to go with these shorts too!

What I wore today - Topshop and New Balance
I can't even remember how long I've wanted some New Balance 574 trainers for, every time I found a pair I loved I'd click to buy and they'd be sold out, and it was an absolute nightmare trying to find them on the high street too. Anyway, I finally have some and they were everything I expected and more! This colourful pair are from BANK who have all the new colours and designs for next season, they are so bouncy and light! I've worn them with my little skort, and a Topshop quilted top I picked up a little while ago - I completely forgot about it as it snuck to the back of my wardrobe, and then remembered I had it when I saw it in the sale online...reduced half price! It's now only £12 which is a bit of a bargain for Topshop, it's quite detailed too with the quilted section, print and mesh bit at the back.
I hope you've had a great weekend :).

Summer hair tips
Today is a hair post, and how to keep your hair in good condition during the warmer and humid weather. Obviously I have fairly long natural hair, and it's not that easy to maintain, so here are my tips to maintain healthy hair, and growth tips too!
- Keep hair fresh and clean by washing every other day, if it gets a little greasy in between washes use a dry shampoo on the roots
- I shampoo twice, and then leave conditioner on for a few minutes whilst showering, i use the VO5 Nourish Me Truly range as it keeps my hair moisturised and frizz free, the humidity at this time of year can result in crazy massive hair but this is something i try to avoid!
- I do blow dry but try not to use heated hair tools too often, my hair is finer at the ends due to the length so try not to over frazzle it!
- Serums and oils are great to use when hair is slightly damp, a little goes a long way as it's good for smoothing flyaways and keeping the finish sleek. Headmasters serums and Macademia oils are really good
- Hair growth is individual and not everyone's hair grows as much as others, but limiting heat and keeping hair in good condition helps growth. I cut my own hair with normal scissors, and snip the very ends of every 2 months or so - but going to a hairdresser is more adviseable! Try not to over style hair, i tend to stay away from sticky products, and hairspray too
- If your natural hair doesn't grow as quick as you would like it too, you can always experiment with a great selection of human hair wigs and hair extensions, long luscious locks are available to everyone!
- Wigs and extensions are also good if you want a temporary change from your normal style or colour, you can shop different styles online at at Pauls Hair World - i love the idea of trying something instead of a permanent drastic change!

What I wore today - Category Clothing and Sperry shoes
I hope you're enjoying the week so far, a little neutral outfit today featuring lots of grey stuff which is one of the best colours ever created because it goes with everything! This top is from UK brand Category Clothing who have just launched their online site selling t-shirts and hoodies, most of the stock is unisex so their tees are good for that oversized look, and it's only £12.50 - bargain! The little boat shoes are classics from Sperry Top-Sider and are so comfy, i think they look rather adorable too with the courdroy patches and suede laces, i needed a good transition shoe and these are fab. They're just as cute with a pair of cut offs and breton top - so French and sailor like! Fedora hats are popping up everywhere ready for next season, as well as this black one i'd also love to get my hands on a grey and camel version too, let the hat fun commence :).

Chi Chi Dionis dress
I hope you had a fab weekend, i've been waiting for the sun to shine to wear this dress...but it's not happening so thought i'd show you anyway! This dress is SO glamorous and sassy i just couldn't resist.
It would be even better if i was strolling across a beach somewhere exotic, dipping my tootsies into the sea with a cocktail in hand! The multicolour ombre effect is so bright and Summery, i've styled it with a little necklace and some strappy jewelled sandals. Chi Chi have a great selection of glam, fab dresses if you're after an occasion dress, or an awesome holiday dress like this one!
Have you been on a sunny holiday this year?

The Monday Piece - Jeanography
Today's Monday Piece is on Jeanography and the 'Fit First Time' trial. Jeanography is an online denim boutique designed to match women up with their ideal denim style, cut and size - it's well known that different shops and brands have their own denim styles, and almost all of them fit differently so it can be tricky finding a pair online, that you like and want to order, and that will fit you just how you like them!
Jeanography and their Fit First Time programme, allows you to log onto their website, fill in your size details and personal denim preferences which creates your own personal profile, you can then browse the site and add three pairs of jeans to your basket, or just add two and a personal stylist will select a third pair. The size that is right for you is highlighted, and if your size isn't availabe the next best size is offered. The range of denim is huge, ranging from Hudson to True Religion, it's a luxury denim service so is fab if you're wanting to invest in a pair of jeans that will last you years. Once you've chosen the styles you want to try, the stylist calls you to make sure you're happy with what you've chosen, and they can also offer you any extra advice on how the jeans will fit or if any adjustments need to be made to your order.
The jeans are put on order and at this point you're not charged anything as it's a trial service - updates regarding shipping follow and they are usually despatched same day for next day delivery. When they arrive you can have a good feel of how they fit and what they look like, you can then decide if and what you want to keep, and return the unwanted pairs by courier.
I've trialled the service and was very happy with the service provided! I'm short with wide hips and a bum so it's not easy finding denim to fit and i usually avoid ordering online, but the Jeanography Fit First Time service was so easy to use, and really helpful too as all the sizes were chosen for me based on the dimensions i uploaded to my profile. I chose to trial the Hudson jeans Leelo super skinny in black and white floral, True Religion Halle super skinny in black, and True Religion Halle super skinny in Lonestar. I really struggled choosing which pair i liked the best - the blue True Religion pair and the Hudson floral pair were my favourites as they both fit so well! However i finally chose the Hudson pair, the print is cute and they have a black strip down the side so are ultra slimming - they're girly but grungy and feel amazing - right up my street.
As well as the Fit First Time service, all the jeans are available to buy normally, and they have a huge sale too!
Which pair is your favourite?
X
