The Monday Piece - Spoiled Brat Outfit Challenge

This week's Monday Piece is on Spoiled Brat and a £50 outfit challenge! I chose this awesome Somedays Lovin oversized vest/tee, the jersey fabric is so soft and hangs really well - i got a size small and it fits great, plus it's only £30 in the sale with an extra 20% off at the checkout with the code SALE14. The little hamsa necklace is by Kool Jewels and is £9, i love anything gold so thought it would look great with the black top. I bought these leggings from Primark for £2, then the amazing cut out boots are ShoeZone and at a bargain price of £19.99 you really can't go wrong. Finally i threw on my favourite Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat kimono that i got from eBay for under a tenner - so the total of the whole outfit is £66 which i think is pretty good! There are some absolute steals over at Spoiled Brat so head over and check it out, there's also a whole load of new season goodness from cult brands like MinkPink and Rock and Religion, love!

Hairtrade

I'm fairly lazy when it comes to hair and skin care, as i usually stick to what i know and try to keep it simple, so i can get up and ready as fast as possible and get on with my day. I've made a mood board full of no nonsense hair and beauty items from Hairtrade that work and are easy to use for girls like me who don't have lots of time in the mornings and evenings! I started with the cute lounging around outfit and eye mask as i thought it was cute and girly, if i'm chilling out at home i like to be comfy so this is just right for that. Tangle Teezers are ideal for my long hair as it knots and mattes ridiculously easily, i definitely recommend getting one if you don't already have one -  i also use hair oils to keep my hair smooth, shiny and more manageable. I've always wanted a pair of GHD hair straighteners, the new pastel colours are so pretty so i think i might have to take the plunge and invest in some! A decent moisturiser is an important part of my regime as i have weird combination skin, so something like Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour cream is a great all round product for morning and night time. A slick of lip balm and a spray of perfume keep me smelling nice, and of course lots of water to keep my body and skin hydrated!
Do you have any favourite products?

DAP Boutique Printed Trousers

These trousers from the beauties over at DAP Boutique are my new favourite things! The print is quirky and they're all silky and loose, in an ideal world i'd be on a sunny beach holiday wearing these right now, alas that's not going to happen and instead i'm in dreary old Worcester, such is life. They are amazing though, and are super duper comfy! I hope you had a great weekend, i went over to Cardiff and did a little shopping and lots of eating, though weirdly i couldn't find much in the shops i liked, it's all a bit samey this time of year so ended up buying cute underwear instead!
I hope you like my outfit :).

Designer Watches at Ernest Jones

Chunky watches are one of my favourite accessories, i think a little wrist candy can go a long way and Ernest Jones definitely show that! I'd never realised before having a look at their website the huge selection of both women's and men's watches they have, from all my favourite brands including Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs and Vivienne Westwood, as well as ultra high end brands like Breitling and Raymond Weil - if you're looking to treat yourself or someone else very special. Ernest Jones often have fab deals on their watches, with seasonal and special offers available on most of the brands, so it's worth keeping an eye out to see if something amazing goes into sale! I think my favourite style has to be the chunky, ceramic style in black, they look so timeless and are ultra classic so can be worn with anything and everything all year round. Of course there are other brands and styles available if you're after a more understated, delicate watch, and there's also an impressive selection of designer jewllery too!

The Monday Piece - JeweShop

This week's Monday piece is on JeweShop jewellery. They have some amazing pieces including sparkly crystal jewellery and simple things too like the gold pebble bracelet i'm wearing - i also selected this stainless steel numerical rose gold ring, it's a great fit and came in a cute presentation box! They also have some dainty little anklets which would be ideal for Summer sandals. I can't believe how cold it's been the last few days, so i've been braving the elements in my cosy bobble hat and chunky knitwear :).

Mother's Day with Monsoon

Mother's Day is fairly big celebration in the UK and Monsoon have released a very sweet video to celebrate Mother's Day this year! As it's only one week away it's time to start thinking about what you'll be doing to celebrate the number one lady in your life, unless you're super duper organised and you've already sorted everything (which i have not). Monsoon always nail the trends, and this season is no different - whether your taking your Mum out for a meal, treating her to a coffee in town, or buying her a present, Monsoon have an amazing selection of pretty, feminine gifts. I've spotted this cream leather tote bag on the Monsoon website, i love the cut out design and simple shape - it's a great all round bag for everyday use in the Summer! If your Mum isn't into clothes or accessories, there's also a selection of home wear pieces that would make a great gift. The rose detailed candle is under a tenner, so a real bargain, and is definitely cute enough to make your Mum smile! I've also featured an aztec print wash bag to jazz things up a little, the light fabric and roomy design is just right for Mum's make up and girly things. I hope you enjoy the video below, i'd love to know how you're treating your Mum this Mother's day?

What I Wore Today - Warehouse Draped Top

I hope you are having a good week so far! I love finding black clothes that are light and suitable for Summer, although i admire the bright but pretty colours in the shops, i'm not sure if they're really 'me' or not, so i'll always go back to black if i'm not yet ready to jump into lots of colour. Investing in some decent basics is something i'm trying to do more of, as well as buying less and choosing more wisely - when new season stuff hits the shops i usually go into panic mode and end up buying a load of stuf that i'll never wear, so i'm hoping to be a little more sensible and choose more carefully! This draped top/shirt from Warehouse is a basic i've been after for a while, it's so simple but is great with skinny jeans and strappy sandals - i saw my number one girl crush Tara rocking a similar one and needed to get in on the action, so full credit to her!

We Are Fashion Event - Merry Hill March 2014

It's no secret that i'm Westfield Merry Hill's biggest fan, it's local to me and full of shops that i always pop into to get my fashion fix - River Island, Topshop, Primark - as well as little boutiques that have unique and designer finds! A few weeks ago i attended the Spring/Summer 2014 Preview which was leading up to the big We Are Fashion event that took place this weekend. If you're a local like me you may have seen the very chic, trendy Merry Hill adverts on the TV featuring some of the fab new bits they have for this and next season, i'd seen the ad and was excited (as always) to head over for some shopping and mooching (and maybe a yummy jacket potato from Spud U Like!).

The event was buzzing and full of eager shoppers, there were discount booklets being handed out for shops like Vero Moda and New Look, and prizes and competitions too. I popped over to the fashion show to have a look at the sassy, dancing models showing off the centre's stock who were throwing some impressive shapes on the revolving stage - i loved the pastel coloured light knitwear and easy going outfits! Merry Hill kindly treated me to a voucher so i bought these amazing chunky, cleated sole sandals in Primark for only £14, there's a massive selection of shoes available right now so head on down if you want a Summer bargain - i also picked up a bikini and top which i'll show soon. As always, it was a fantastic event, thank you Merry Hill!

Merry Hill took some beautiful snaps of the event so i've included them below, photo credit here.

The Monday Piece - Bricoleur Events Masquerade Ball

This week's Monday Piece is on the Bricoleur Events Masquerade ball i attended last Tuesday evening! Bricoleur Events is a charity organisation created by a group of students from Birmingham Uni who are currently raising money for Birmingham Children's Hospital. They invited me down last week with a group of other babealicious bloggers for a night of fun, fashion, and mask wearing. The event was held at Nuvo, a swanky cocktail bar/club on Brindley Place, we were greeted by a half naked man which was interesting, then had drinks at the bar before watching the fashion show featuring some fab designs and pieces ready for Summer. There was also a huge raffle where lots of prizes were handed out, as well as a photo booth and henna tattoos. Everyone looked amazing in their smart outfits and masquerade attire, i've included some snaps below of the night so you can have a look - i wore a long, tight, backless navy velvet dress but failed to take any pictures, oops, but there is one at the end of me actually smiling, teeth and everything! It was a great night for an even better cause!

What I Wore Today - Warehouse Bomber Jacket

Today is Super Saturday so I'm spending it watching the final matches of the Six Nations rugby, woo hoo! I've been poorly the last few days so have been taking it easy, so this weekend will probably be more of the same and trying to get back to my normal self. This Warehouse bomber jacket was an amazing £12 in the sale so I had to snap it up, it's just right for Spring as its mega lightweight and comfy - I love the quilted jacquard print and fabric, it has tiny metallic flecks running through it too!

Gingham at ARK Clothing

Gingham and plaid are super cute Summer prints that aren't too over the top or garish, this season ARK Clothing are loving all things gingham and have a fab new in section full of key pieces! I've selected some of my favourite gingham looks from ARK below, I like the way it's not too girly and ditsy and that 'gingham' doesn't necessarily mean traditional - the pastel colours are great for colour phobic people like me as they can be worn with black and neutral shades like grey but still look fresh and Summery. I've got my eye on the pink check dress, I think it would look so cute with some chunky white shoes! ARK are currently offering 20% off new arrivals with the code HOT20, any excuse to shop :).

What I Wore Today - Vero Moda two tone top

I hope you're having a good week so far! We've had some amazing sunshine the last few days which has been such a treat, so a great excuse to snap some outfit photos. This two tone, black and white shirt dress from Vero Moda is lightweight and loose, my favourite kind of style, i think it's so versatile as it could be worn alone as a dress, over jeans, and dressed up with heels! I went out last night so my flat brogues are taking care of my blistered toes, ouch, but it was a fun night even though i've been feeling poorly and groggy recently. I hope you like my outfit :).
