What I Wore Today - Pointed Boots

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I can't believe it's the end of April and i'm still wearing my cosy, warm coat - it's properly cold though and the weather forecast doesn't look to appealing, but at least i can prolong the wear of my favourite winter pieces! On Saturday me and G dogsat our friend's ginger labrador, he's called Jasper and is actually crazy and always excited - so we took him on an adventure to a big piece of common land in Malvern so he could run free and be at one with the sheep and wildlife, he seemed to enjoy it and covered himself in mud and dirt, naughty dog. Then on Sunday we took a shopping trip to Solihull where we picked up a few new season pieces, and of course finished off with a big, spicy Nando's! I hope you like my outfit :).

The Monday Piece - Monsoon, Swimwear & Sunshine Essentials

This week's Monday Piece is on Monsoon and their new video featuring their top picks and essentials for Summer and what to pack to take on holiday! Every season Monsoon nail the print trends, and this season is no different - whether you're after a tie dye piece, a multi coloured bikini, or a printed Playsuit there's a huge choice of amazing clothing at Monsoon. One of my favourite Summer items has to be the embroidered kimono with fringedetail, it's a classic piece with a real boho feel to it - worn with some crochet shorts and a simple vest, or over a swimsuit on the beach it's amazing! As well as this the video also shows off the fab selection of  beach and holiday accessory essentials. Oversized floppy hats are guarenteed to glam up an easy outfit, then add some protective, statement sunglasses and layered jewellery and you're good to go! The new beach bags and Summer bags are ideal for holiday, the rucksack is just right for popping flight essentials in and will double up as a holiday bag for taking to the beach. Of course embellished maxi dresses also feature in the new collection - so easy to throw one on with a pair of simple Monsoon leather sandles, it makes a stunning outfit just right for an evening of paella and sangria on the seafront!
I hope enjoy the video :).

What I Wore Today - Pinstriped shirt

I had a bit of a blister nightmare a few days ago so i'm wearing all my comfy shoes this week to try to heal it, it turned out to be fairly gruesome and ruined my shoes which was annoying, but nevermind - i guess it's an excuse to buy more? Classic Pumas like these are quite padded so they're taking care of my tootsies! I've been looking for pinstriped pieces recently and this shirt caught my eye, as you already know i'm a sucker for draped, loose fitting fabric so this was always going to be a winner, i hope you like my outfit :).

#DESTINATIONUNKNOWN BANK Fashion

BANK Fashion are celebrating festival season by launching an insane competition #DESTINATIONUNKNOWN  - they are giving away a Summer full of fun and adventure to one winner! The winner will get the opportunity to be BANK's festival insider, travelling to three unknown destinations across Europe with their best buddie, blogging about the experience - how awesome is that? I love music, festival fashion and taking photos but have never been to a 'big' festival before, so an opportunity like this would be extremely exciting and crazy!

BANK have a whole load of sassy new season stock, so i've featured below some key pieces from the website for both girls and guys that are spot on for festival season. The girls set features a cosmic bandeau top - worn with some little crochet shorts this would be super cute - some round sunglasses that are always a festival winner, chunky Dr. Martens boots are ideal whatever the weather (also they're half price), and a bumbag is essential to keep your phone and money safe! The boys set includes a textured rucksack, fresh pants and socks (because boys are dirty and smell), wayfarer sunglasses and a Superdry wallet - plus i've added sweeties to both as they're the best food for emergency energy, fact.

I've also added a selection of practical festival items - a tent and sleeping bag being the most important, the little tent booties i couldn't resist because they look so comfy and cute! A torch is essential too as getting lost in a sea of tents after hours of partying wouldn't be too good - plus the festival toiletries like wet wipes, deodorant and sun cream are necessary to stay clean and protected. And finally, a snazzy camera is a must, so you can photograph the amazing experience and fun times!
If you're heading to festivals this year i recommend checking out BANK for their huge selection of colourful, festival clothing and accessories - i've got my eye on the chiffon kimonos, runner style shorts and boho pieces, a la Vanessa Hudgens - the ultimate festival goddess!

All items from the girls and boys set can be found from BANK Fashion, here.

What I Wore Today - Wal G

I hope you had a wonderful Easter break and ate lots of yummy chocolate! On Friday me and G went into Cheltenham for some retail therapy and food, they have an amazing TK Maxx full of designer bargains so i definitely recommend checking it out if you live nearby, so we snapped up some goodies! Saturday i popped to town then had my sister and her boyfriend over, which was entertaining as always, then Easter Sunday i spent with my brother eating chocolate and watching films, so i had lots of family time which always makes me happy! This draped top from Wal G is a new favourite, i love the slouchy wrap around style and oversized fit - they've got lots of cute stuff and their range of Summer jumpsuits is awesome!

The Monday Piece - Gilly Hicks

This week's Monday Piece is on Gilly Hicks - one of my current favourite place to get cute, everyday undies! I'd not heard of the shop before but my boyfriend took me in whilst we were shopping in Cardiff a little while ago and i've been a bit addicted ever since! They're part of the Abercrombie group which is usually a little preppy for me but I instantly fell in love with the cute, feminine underwear and loungewear in Gilly Hicks. They're shutting all of their high street shops, which is sad, but they have an awesome website so it's all good!  The site is based in the States, but all shipping fees include customs so you don't have to worry about that (I've recently ordered three times and not had any customs charges). I'm a big fan of the pretend bra, especially in summer, as bralettes are so comfy and look great under draped vests and cami tops, so I've taken a few snaps of some I've recently ordered! I also ordered lots of their undies and lounge clothes too as it's all really well made and looks fab - it can be fairly pricey but they often have discount codes and special offers so do check those out if you're thinking of ordering!

What I Wore Today - La Redoute biker jacket

I hope you are enjoying the bank holiday weekend so far! Today i'm wearing this light biker jacket from La Redoute, I've got my heavy biker jacket that I wear all the time, so this one is making a nice change and is more suited to Spring time - it's faux leather and has a perforated section, zips and poppers so has a good amount of detail. It's really comfy and the sizing is spot on (I ordered a 10), plus it's priced at only £45 which I think is really reasonable - also new customers can get £15 off orders with the code '4725' making it even more of a bargain! I've worn it with my Ridley jeans that have already become a favourite, and a loose fit tee, I hope you like my outfit :).

What I Wore Today - TIALS

The ever so beautiful Jade recently hosted a giveaway on her blog to win this This Is A Love Song tee, and i won so couldn't wait to wear it, thank you Jade! It even glows in the dark and has holographic strips on the shoulders! It's just in time for the sunshine too though i'm not that warm so still clinging on to a little faux fur to keep me cosy. I've had a look at the rest of the TIALS collection and have fallen in love with everything, they have the cutest sequin crop tops and tees, and such awesome swimwear. I'm still feeling poorly so my neck has swollen up like a rugby players, not the best look but whatever, i'll try and work it.

What I Wore Today - Jollyworth

I hope you're enjoying the sunshine, i've been poorly all weekend and am still feleing mega rough with a horrid cold, ewwww. This light jumper is another recent H&M purchase, it's a loose fit and has a low cut back so feels lovely to wear, it's quite sheer too - as you can probably tell from my neon pink underwear peeping through - and it was only £12.99 so a bit of a bargain really! I was so excited to show you this sleek card holder from Jollyworth, it's handmade in England from full grain saddle leather and is super smooth and minimalistic which i love. I've put my number one card in there to test it out, ie. my Nandos card, and it fits just right with lots of room for receipts and money in the main compartment too. Happy days!

The Monday Piece - My Trendy Phone

This weeek's Monday Piece is on gadget and accessory website My Trendy Phone who recently asked if i'd like to review something from their site. As my iPad is pretty much permanently glued to my hand i thought i'd give the 'Universal pivot tablet holder' a try - it's easy to set up and ideal if you use your tablet as a computer, as the joints are on pivots you can turn it to whatever shape you like so you can view your tablet at different angles. The support the holder provides is great and it has little grips so it stops it from sliding around, it's also really light without feeling flimsy and is easy to fold up and pop in your handbag to carry around with you. I've been loving this practical gadget and makes blogging on the move so easy! Of course My Trendy Phone also stocks phone and other gadget accessories too, from cases to phone charms, so is worth a look if you're a gadget geek like me!
What gadgets are you loving recently?

What I Wore Today - ASOS Ridley Jeans

ASOS were doing 30% off everything a few weeks ago so I thought it'd be the ideal time to grab a few things I'd had my eye on! The Ridley jeans with busted knees have been seen everywhere recently, and my old ripped skinnies were looking a little worse for wear so I wanted to give these a try. I've not bought denim from ASOS before as I'm super duper fussy, and was a little apprehensive but as soon as I slipped them on I was a happy bunny. They're quite thick and hold their shape really well, they're high waisted but not so tight that you can barely breathe (unlike the Joni's which cause actual pain), plus the extreme ripped knees were just what I wanted! I'm a 27 waist, 30 leg in jeans, an annoying size that I struggle to find on the high street, but that wasn't an option so I chose a 28 waist with 32 leg, meaning I have to turn up the bottoms if want them to be ankle grazers - they fit really well and do have a decent amount of stretch, however I am pleased I sized up because I wanted them to be tight, but comfortable - they are so good and ive worn them lots already! I'm off to hide my iPad as I'm too tempted to buy the same pair in white, help!

Dublin April 2014

I hope you are having a wonderful week so far! As i mentioned in the previous post G and I took a trip to Dublin last week for a chilled out few days. We stayed in a beachside hotel in Portmarnock just outside Dublin as we wanted a little bit of peace and quiet at the end of each day - Portmarnock is so pretty and peaceful, the hotel was awesome and only a short trip on the bus into the city centre so ideal for us!
I wasn't too sure what to expect as i hadn't been to Dublin before, it's a great city but was mega busy at all times of the day. Obviously lots of people go there to drink and be merry, but we wanted to visit some museums, eat lots of food and generally bumble around - the layout was slightly odd though as it's all kind of thrown in together, bars next to shops next to houses next to historical places, so it was quite interesting walking around as you don't really know what's around the corner!
One of the highlights from the trip was the National Museum of Ireland which was insanely good and so interesting, the archaeology section was so impressive and a real feast for the eyes so if you're into History i definitely recommend it! Temple Bar was quite dingy and not really our scene, but we still had a nosey around which was good, but be prepared for ridiculous prices if you go for a drink. We also enjoyed some Irish music at the hotel one night which was fab and lots of fun!
I've added some pictures below so you can see what else we got up to, i wanted the cheeky Samoyed dog to come home with me but sadly he wouldn't fit in my suitcase.

Dublin Outfit

On Thursday G and I took a little trip to Dublin for a weekend away and some time out, I've got a few pictures to share so i'll pop that into a separate post, but thought it would be good to show an outfit first! As we were walking around, exploring the city I wanted to be comfy and casual, though it was so cold and soon realised i should have taken a warmer coat! I picked up this grey, open knit, H&M sweater before we left for £14.99, it's fairly light but still a jumper so good for unpredictable weather. My trusty boots from Office are always in my suitcase because they're so darn comfy and go with sooo many things in my wardrobe! I hope you like my outfit :).

The Monday Piece - John Frieda Frizz Ease

This week's Monday Piece is on the new range of Frizz Ease products from John Frieda. As i have long, naturally frizzy, unmanageable hair, i'm often looking for new products that will make my hair sleek, smooth and frizz free. I thought it would be an ideal time to try the products too, as we're in that weird weather transition where it's getting more humid and we're experiencing that horrid fuzzy rain that always causes my hair to frizz!

Frizz Ease has been around for a while and was one of the first products i started using on my hair, so was looking forward to trying the new range. The shampoo and conditioner are both fab, they have a light scent and left my hair feeling soft and light, with no residue. Following this i used the styling spray, claiming to keep my hair straight for up to 3 days i was unsure how it would turn out but it was amazing - it left me with much fewer flyaways and kept my hair straight and sleek - the formula is heat activated so is designed to work along side blow dryers and hair straighteners, as these are the tools i usually use it's ideal for me! To finish of the sleek style i applied the polishing serum, which smells SO good and left my hair super shiny and soft. I can't wait to continue using these products and definitely recommend them if your long hair needs taming :).

Paper Dolls Tailored Jumpsuit

I'm all over the all in one at the moment, so was mega excited to get my hands on this tailored piece from Paper Dolls at Little Mistress, and i'm pleased to say it doesn't disappoint. If you're in between sizes i'd recommend going down a size, just because it's slightly bigger than expected (or i've lost weight which is very unlikely)...however because the fabric is so thick and well made, it's got a lot of structure so still looks and feels good! Also, the pockets make me very happy indeed! If you aren't a jumpsuit fan, Paper Dolls and Little Mistress do such pretty, feminine dresses, they're ideal for special occasions if you have something coming up like a Summer wedding!
