The Monday Piece - Vienna Snapshot

This week's Monday Piece is on Vienna Snapshot! I couldn't resist a few photos of the stunning Viennese architecture, I am totally obsessed with the neopolitan style coloured buildings... I was really enjoying the moment and didn't take too many photos on the trip so included just a few. It is such a pretty city with enormous history so I definitely recommend it - it's also great for couples as there are lots of romantic things to do whether it's shopping, enjoying a delicious meal or taking a trip on the famous big wheel. We rented electric scooters that are all over the streets and pavements as you can just use the 'Lime' app, it's really cheap and means you can explore so much if you're into sightseeing :).

The Monday Piece - Simply Raw Bakery Vienna

This week's Monday Piece is on Simply Raw Bakery Vienna! During our trip to Vienna we ate some awesome food... But finding gluten free as well as separate vegan options wasn't always easy. We were in the centre of Vienna doing a little shopping and fancied a chilled out coffee and cake situation, the bakeries are truly stunning - having coffee and cake is pretty much an institution! Having hunted around many places we decided to give up browsing and gave into googling somewhere with suitable options, Simply Raw Bakery popped up straight away so we nipped around the corner and indulged in gf and vegan smoothies and cake, loved it! It was pretty pricey though so be warned, but as a treat and in comparison to other Viennese prices we didn't think it was toooooo bad :).

The Monday Piece - Bratislava UFO Tower

This week's Monday Piece is on Bratislava UFO Tower! The infamous UFO Tower was one of the things we were most eager to see so we walked over the river, opposite where our hotel was, to get the lift to the too and check out the stunning views. It was such a clear day in contrast to the misty weather we'd had before, but it was ridiculously windy so I was definitely holding on to my hat on the top! We could see the whole city and even Austria in the distance, the Danube looked so crisp and the castle too - it's only €7 to enter and it's kind of a big deal in Bratislava so do pay a visit :).

The Monday Piece - Bratislava Castle

This week's Monday Piece is on Bratislava Castle! Nick and I just got back from a long weekend in Bratislava and Vienna, it was super misty and cold when we first arrived but we were still eager to explore the city and ended up at the top of the hill where we discovered the castle. The landmark is huge and looks over the city above the Danube River - it was built in the 9th century and has been added to and fortified since then. We loved it's imposing views and how grand it is, although we didn't get to see the full extent of the views because of the mist, we had another chance to do so on another day with brighter weather. It's definitely a must see if you're in the city :).
