Appleyard London Review

I love fresh flowers so when Appleyard London got in touch asking if i would like to review one of their stunning autumnal bouquets i couldn't wait to receive them! I love having fresh flowers around, i like simple roses and bouquets so chose the Mimi Eden Blooms - a delicate bouquet of pink and white Mimi Eden spray roses, as i thought they looked so pretty and romantic. I took the pictures in the wilderness of the garden to represent the true colours and style, the roses come in bud form so bloom within a few days of having them on display.

They came boxed via tracked courier, wrapped in white wrapping paper with feed attached. Next day flowers from Appleyard feature bouquets of different sizes so you can choose the right size for you or someone else if it's a gift, next day delivery is available if you order before 9pm which is great for a last minute romantic/friendly gesture! As well as the beautiful flowers you can add extra bits on when you order, including vases, chocolates and gifts, making it a one stop shop for the ideal gift. The flowers have lasted really well, and started to crumple at about 8 days old which i think is really good, i've had similar bouquets before that have lasted half that time so the freshness was fab.

Appleyard have a huge range of choice, with prices starting at around £20 going up to £80 there is something for everyone, i think flowers are such a lovely, thoughtful gift too whether they're for a loved one or just treating yourself! As Christmas is creeping up on us, Appleyard also have a selection of tasty Christmas hampers including biscuit tins, tasty selection hampers and goody bags, as well as Christmas flowers that look so festive!

Exciting also as i have a discount code for blog readers, enter BLOG33 to get 33% off the Appleyard London range of luxury bouquets!

Create Your Scream Home

We are officially in Spooky Season, whether you celebrate it or not Halloween bits and bobs are everywhere - whether it's scary films at the cinema, yummy sweet treats in the shops, and themed clothing and home wear available to buy on the high street! Ocean Finance challenged me to create my own 'Scream Home' and transform my abode into something truly horrifying, all year round Ocean Finance help people create their fantasy homes but the tables have turned! I'm a superstitious gal and love my crystals to fend off any unwanted visitors, though prior to this i had my own spooky experiences with ghostly happenings...making me extra aware of the occult and paranormal activity. I popped to the shops and picked up themed decorations and treats to munch on whilst hiding behind a cushion ready for a scary movie night! I've picked out some awesome home wear pieces below, the glitter skull is a year round ornament, i absolutely love it! And of course lots of classic orange and black combos! I'd love to know if you're transforming your home into a Scream Home this Halloween!

The Monday Piece - Topshop Sock Boots

This week's Monday Piece is on Topshop sock boots! I've been after a pair of leather booties for ages but couldn't find the right pair for me, until i popped into Topshop and saw these - sock boots are fairly popular this season, whether they're leather or patent they seem to be popping up everywhere on the high street due to fashion houses like Dior promulgating the style! I've kept my look simple with skinny jeans and a shirt from River Island!

HD Brows Launch with Debenhams Benito Birmingham

HD brows have launched a stand in Debenhams, Birmingham in collaboration with Benito, so it's a one stop shop to get your brows looking ultra slick. I popped down to the launch party and had an appointment to get my brows done - they hadn't been done in a really long time (i can't remember how many years) so i think it was a bit of a challenge for the brow babes!

The team made me feel really comfortable and i had a full brow Q&A consultation to ensure i'd get the treatment, shape and size i desired. HD brows wax and thread, it didn't hurt at all and felt quite cleansing after the initial unusual sensation! I was left with sleek tidy brows and loved how they looked, it was a real 'wow' moment when i looked in the mirror at the finished results, i'll definitely be returning and continuing the HD brows treatments.

I've also been using the HD brows eye and brow palette to enhance my brows, doing my make up is so much easier and i spend seconds doing my brows whereas before it was taking me ages to achieve the arch and look i wanted. As well as eye and brow make up HD Brows also make stunning palettes, lip glosses, foundations and contour palettes - the range is growing too so keep an eye out for new additions! I definitely recommend HD brows and the lovely team at Benito Birmingham, get booked in now at Debenhams Birmingham to transform your brows!

The Monday Piece - Boohoo, Dress For Autumn

This week's Monday Piece is on Boohoo, Dress For Autumn! The Boohoo beauties asked me to choose my 'dress for autumn' from the huge online store here, and style it in three different ways. I love a versatile piece of clothing, if i can wear it in multiple ways and keep it looking on trend then i'm a happy gal, so of course i couldn't wait to get stuck in and style it up.

There was so much to choose from as Boohoo have an incredible selection of dresses - i chose this shirt dress as they are mega easy to style, look great and are also on trend - i styled it up with my go to over the knee boots, mirrored aviators and plunge feather necklace for a sassy look, it's literally a throw on and go piece which is ideal as i'm always rushing to get out! For the second outift i dressed it up for dinner, with some strappy heels and a sleeveless jacket (another versatile piece that will go with practically anything!). Lastly i kept it simple and wore it unbuttoned and layered over a lattice detail top, worn with jeans and booties it's a look i can re-wear over and over by mixing and matching other garms!

The dress is a bargain at only £20, and is a great piece just right for autumn, the looks that can be created with it are endless as it's so classic and of course the monochrome trend never fades. I love the style of the shirt dress and it isn't too short either which is ace, it also comes in white if you fancied it in a different colour! Boohoo have a tonne of cool stuff and i'm always excited to see what new trends and pieces they're going to bring out next!

Merry Hill Autumn Winter Style Academy Event

I recently attended a style academy session at Intu Merry Hill, to celebrate their autumn/winter shopping event! Hosted by the wonderful Emily Jayne, myself and a few other bloggers popped along to my fave shopping centre in the Midlands, Intu Merry Hill for a style academy master-class on the new trends this season and how to wear them. Just outside of Birmingham Intu Merry Hill is a big shopping complex with food hall, cinema and of course lots of shops to explore, i love it as it has all of the best high street shops without having that 'hectic' feel to it! Emily had picked out trends from the shops inside the centre like River Island, New Look, Oasis and Boux Avenue, the 70's trend was one of my favourites as well as grunge (of course!) and i also spotted the most amazing shaggy gilet i need to go and try on! There was also big attention on accessories this season as they can transform a simple outfit, i loved the colourful handbags which are ideal to brighten up my often dark outfits, and the floppy hats and pointed studded shoes were awesome too.
As well as the fashion we were also given hair tutorials and tips on how to maintain and protect our hair, again having a sleek 'hair do' can tie a whole look together. After this we munched on Nandos which was so tasty, and had an embroidery class where we created our own studded collars to take away with us. I love the idea of the style academy as there's so much to learn about fashion, trends and beauty each new season, also this weekend Emily has been holding blogger master-classes in the centre too! We each took away our own style academy satchel with treats from the centre for completing the session, and i managed to fit a little shopping in on the night too as it's open until 9pm during the week :). Thank you very much to Merry Hill for having me!

The Monday Piece - Jimmi Jamms

This week's Monday Piece is on Jimmi Jamms! Getting cosy is my favourite thing when it gets colder and winter creeps in, chilled nights in with a film and snacks is just the best, and when i'm wrapped up in a super soft pair of pj's i go into hibernation mode - i am all about the comfort and if you can look good whilst taking time out then it's a double whammy! I've been in this pair of Jimmi Jamms all weekend, the pink, white and blue combo is so pretty and girly - and they're so soft and snug too. The bunny logo is super duper cute and they are of course ridiculously comfortable.

I chose a classic pair called 'The Heritage Set' and one of their signature hoodies, it's so much more than sleepwear as i've been lounging around in them and using them as my go to comfy outfit, they look and feel amazing! My sister popped over whilst i was chilling in them and almost stripped me of them...it's true...so she's going to pick a pair for herself off their website, i recommend you do too :) ! Sizing is spot on, i went for a small and they fit just right, hooray!

They have a selection of printed styles, all in pretty pastels and prints - as well as Jimmi Jamms pyjamas, they also sell loungewear, blankets and nighties, it's all ideal for lounging! The packaging is equally as cute and cool, as they come boxed in colourful milk cartons, i'm their new biggest fan and will be stocking up ready for winter, they also make the best idea for a gift!

Wrap Top

I'm quite the fan of a wrap top and this one from boohoo is no exception - they're quite 'smart' which i like, and i think they're so flattering, this loose style is also ideal for the weekends! Worn with my OTK booties, it's an easy grey and black combo i'll re-wear often.
