The Monday Piece - ASOS Asymmetric Slip

This week's Monday Piece is on this ASOS asymmetric slip! Now technically this is from the lingerie/nightwear section on the site, but i saw it and thought maybeeee i could pull it off as a normal top slip type thing, especially as lingerie as outerwear is quite hot right now and has been seen plentifully across the catwalks - i think it's ok, and i'm the don when it comes to asymmetric styles as i literally live in them, i love it's slinky style and don't want to keep it behind closed doors - however Nick disagrees and thinks it 100% looks like lingerie...boys are lame. Please let me know if you think it looks ok, or if in fact it does look like a nightie, i'd love to know what you think :).

Spring Fashion 2016

I know Winter will still be hanging around in months to come, but i couldn't resist compiling a list of beautiful Spring pieces i've been spying online and instore. I definitely have my own style and stick to what i know, i don't tend to venture out of my comfort zone too much because i like what i wear, it's what i feel comfortable in and i like it! So when shopping for new season pieces, they have to fit my style, as well as being 'on trend' - i'll always pick something that suits me over what is deemed as 'trendy' anyways! Always keeping my beady eyes out for new glasses too as i can't wear my contacts all the time as they drive me nuts, so these Superdry frames are ideal and have a real classic look to them - plus they're black so they go with everything! My Glasses Guru are a treasure trove for new specs and have loads of brands like Tom Ford and Ted Baker, their website is clever too as you can shop by face shape and size, check it out here!

I'm always a sucker for new shoes and accessories, whether it's a cute fluffy bag charm or a pair of shades, i love adding a little extra to my outfit to give it that bit of an edge - the red Karl Lagerfeld bag is so cute and i love the badge detail. I've always been a fan of Docs but am still a little unsure as to whether i can pull them off or not...MasterShoe have an awesome selection though and most of them are on sale which is definitely tempting me to make a little purchase! I'd definitely go for a black pair as they're mega versatile, i've heard so many horror stories about wearing them in though and i'm just not sure if i'm ready for that kind of commitment...ha! If you're after a bargain pair then click here. I also have to get my hands on a bomber jacket asap, preferably a cute satin one - i've seen some in Zara, H&M and Topshop so need to get my act together and make that Spring purchase!

Mother's Day Gift Ideas

Mother's Day isn't too far away (Sunday 6th March) so i've been mooching for gift inspiration as it's time to get something sorted for the number one lady in my life! All Mum's are different so i've based my ideas on my very lovely Mummy, as well as picking out bits lots of ladies will love! I like to keep gifts simple and try not to over think it, sometimes it's tricky to know where to start so there's something to suit all budgets - if you're looking to splurge on something extra special there are lots of potential treats available like a Mulberry handbag or a gold personalised necklace. Though there are lots of beautiful lust worthy gifts for much less, like a classy Skagen watch available online from Babla's Jewellers, they have some stunning pieces that would be the ideal gift to unwrap on Mother's Day! Babla's have a stunning collection of watches and jewellery, there's plenty of inspiration on their site to choose something beautiful so have a peek! My personal favourite is this metal mesh Skagen watch, it is so sleek and understated i love it!

I've also picked some crowd pleaser's like beautifully packaged make-up and perfume, a wear every day scarf and flowers too. My Mum is quite easily pleased and loves a surprise, she's always on the go and is a sucker for a cool pair of trainers so the Nike trainers would prove useful and look amazing, plus a peanut butter Reese's bar is enough to keep her sweet for a while! I feel a bit cheeky putting a spiraliser on the list, a gift Mum can use to make me a delicious healthy meal is probably more beneficial to me than her, oops!

The Monday Piece - Blanket Coat

This week's Monday Piece is on this blanket coat! I've had it for a few years and it is so snug and warm, it's a piece i often go to if i want to be comfortable and cute! Worn with some new jeans i picked up in Topshop that i can't stop wearing - they're the super ripped Jamie jean, i have the mega ripped ones but wanted these as they have a light stretch fit and rips on the knees and thigh. They are such a great fit too which is always important with denim! We popped over to Hereford this weekend for a bit of shopping and a Wagamama date, then spent Saturday night having a chilled spa night to relax after a hectic week :).

Death To Flowers Review

It's always lovely to receive a little gift off a friend or loved one, and these mini boxes from Death to Flowers are the ideal surprise to put a smile on someone's face! The little boxes are an alternative to traditional flowers, and can be personalised to your giftees tastes, plus there are lots of different themes and budgets to choose from. I was sent the Snoop Dog box, which is neatly formed into a teeny tiny take out box, i opened the box to find a love emoji temporary tattoo, and a shiny little pouch which when opened revealed a tasty a fortune cookie, so sweet! Inside the cookie was a lovey dovey Snoop Doggy Dog message that read "Love is an unexplainable feeling, an expression. It's a touch, it's a feel. Once you feel it, it's like no other thing in the world" - i had no idea Snoop was so deep, but it's awesome and such a cute little box.

The box truly bought a smile to my face and i passed it on to Nick who loved it too! Also these are such a bargain at only £6.50, it really is a neat little gesture and edible treats are my absolute faves! If Snoop ain't your bag then there's Beyonce and Jeremy Corben quotes too, plus other fun filled boxes like this Tokyo Ghost Stories box which is filled with awesome Japanese gestures. Pop over to the Death to Flowers website and have a look at what they have, i'd recommend sending a little box to a pal who needs a bit of cheering up or a loved one who needs to be reminded of how cool you think they are!

The Monday Piece - Works With Water, Help: Beautify Skin

This week's Monday Piece is on Works With Water, Help: Beautify Skin supplement! I rarely take any form of supplement as I tend to eat and live quite well so haven't really felt I 'needed' to, though when I saw details about a supplement that helps out your skin giving you a clearer, more flowing complexion, I couldn't wait to give it a go! The edible supplement contains collagen, zinc gluconate, aloe vera, PravENAC and vitamin c - all of which contribute to reducing bacteria that causes acne and breakouts, reduces fine lines and wrinkles and regenerates skin. It's almost like a thick jelly formula, it's Apple flavour too so it tastes fresh and watery!

Nick and I have been trying this together, to see if we can spot the results on one another - Nicks skin has evened out and looks more fresh and refreshed, he doesn't have any fine lines or wrinkles so I can't comment on that but I can definitely see a difference as his complexion looks much more even. My skin feels and looks softer, with a revitalised look to it, and my complexion has evened out too. It's definitely something I'd continue to use as I'm happy with the results so far and am keen to maintain the results it's achieved.
If you would like to try the Help: Beautify Skin supplement, full details can be found here, is you can catch it half price to celebrate Chinese New Year!

Topshop Lace Up Shirt

Finally got round to getting myself a decent camera to blog with so i'm mega excited to share the snaps as i've been using my iPhone for the past year! We had a little burst of sun this morning so i thought it was a good opportunity to take a couple of outfit pics before heading into town for a bit of shopping, though it didn't last long as we've had grey skies and rain ever since... It's been a chilled weekend with curry night on Friday, then we spent the day in Ledbury yesterday enjoying lunch and spending time with Nick's family, and shopping for a few bits and running errands today - and catching up with Six Nations matches too! I've been wearing this lace up shirt from Topshop so much since i bought it, it's a great fit and neatly tucks into jeans, i like the smart look of it too :).

The Monday Piece - Berlin, January 2016

This week's Monday Piece is on Berlin January 2016! I took Nick away for a few days as i felt like it would be nice to get out and about and experience some different culture, so we left the UK for Berlin for a few days. I'm a bit of a history geek so love experiencing new places and learning about its History - and there is of course an absolute abundance in Berlin what with it in the past being shrouded in controversy, politics and war, so it was ideal - each corner you turn there are buildings of interest, places to visit and things to see. Day one we had a walk around the hotel and explored outside, we had a quick bite to eat in a German burger house and it was literally the biggest, meatiest burger ever - and so cheap too which is always nice! We strolled around the side streets and browsed the shops, whilst taking it all in, it was freezing cold and there was thick ice spread all over almost all of the pavements so we had to wrap up extra warm, though it added a little romanticism to the experience! After popping back to the hotel to get ready and refreshed, we headed out for some dinner and stumbled across a Vietnamese restaurant that served gluten free food so got comfy in there and ate delicious noodles. There are so many different food choices and restaurants in Berlin, so there is something for everyone, plus it's a fairly hipster city so there's lots of vegan, health and veggie places to eat if that's what you fancy!

Day two we decided to do a bike tour as we figured it would be a good way to explore the city and see everything we wanted to without hopping on and off of trams and trains. Although it was bitterly cold, the chaps at Fat Tyre Bike Tours were still running the trips, so after breakfast in a little German bakery we took a full day bike tour with two girls from New Zealand, and our tour guide Alistair - it was so great and i'm really not a strong cyclist and i got on just fine, it lasted from 11am-5.30pm and we  stopped off for lunch on the route so we all got to chat and get to know each other a little. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and could answer every question we threw at him, plus he was so funny and kept us all entertained! On the trip we saw sights including Museum Island, Brandenburg Gate, Nazi history, the Berlin Wall, the Reichstag, and Checkpoint Charlie as well as lots others - it was the best day and lots of fun, we even had a tasty Lindt hot chocolate to warm us up which was literally liquid chocolate, and German Currywurst too! If you're heading to Berlin then definitely consider a bike tour as it's epic, it cost us around 26 Euro each which i think is great value for money, especially as it lasts all day and you get to see and experience so much.

In the evening we popped out for more food and drinks, after eating traditional German food all day we fancied something a bit different so found a little French brasserie for dinner - again the food was delicious and being gluten free wasn't an issue so happy days! We then spent the rest of the evening out exploring and enjoying chill time at the hotel. For our third morning we grabbed breakfast then it was time to head back to the UK, we had a fab trip and could have spent weeks exploring! I took a few snaps so have popped these below for you to have a look at our trip, Berlin is a city full of history and culture, i thoroughly recommend it if you haven't been!
