The Monday Piece - Shoe Zone

This weeks Monday Piece is on Shoe Zone! Shoe Zone have high street shops all over the UK and also have an online store. I must admit I've had plenty of shoes from the store before as the prices are so good plus the quality is equally as good! This studded pair of heeled Chelsea boots are amazing, they seem really hard wearing and are quite bulky which I like. I think they're a great versatile all rounder, I've worn them with a chunky roll neck I grabbed in the sale at River Island and some leggings. I saw a very well dressed girl in town today wearing the same boots which made me chuckle, they are a right bargain at £19.99! You can check out the full range that Shoe Zone have to offer here.

Voodoo Vixen Cape

A cape coat is just what I need to hide my tum after all of the festive foodie treats! I hope you all had a wonderful time this Christmas, now there's New Year to get prepared for! This woolen cape is from Voodoo Vixen, it's so feminine and swirly, there's little arm holes if you want to hange your arms out, and the faux fur trim finishes it off so well! It's super duper soft too and a great piece to throw on for a fresh Winter morning. Voodoo Vixen have such a cute, quirky selection of vintage inspired clothing, it has a real retro feel to it and the quality is great! I'm also wearing my new Topshop boots that I got whilst shopping in Cardiff, they were only £42 which I think is fairly reasonable for Topshop, I love the massive chunky platform and they're comfy too.
I hope you like my outfit!

SportsShoes Fashionably Fit Campaign

I hope you had a lovely Christmas! I was recently asked to take part in SportsShoes.com Fashionably Fit campaign - at this time of year lots of people are thinking of the new year and things they can do to improve their fitness. The campaign was launched after Katherine Jenkins was criticised for running the London Marathon whilst wearing make up and jewellery - i've played lots of sports and have always been interested in fitness, I've mentioned before that my Mum is a fitness instructor, triathlete and marathon runner, fitness is in the family - so I've played lots of sports like rugby, football, swimming and cheerleading. I like to look my best, and I don't think there is anything wrong with taking pride in your appearance, if I'm off to the gym, for a run, or to play a team sport I still like to make an effort - I wear make up every day, only a bit but still everyday, and I like my gym kit to look smart and sassy - because why not? It's absolutely not fair for anyone to criticise someone's appearance, it's all about personal choice and preference. I popped out for a run and to take these photos, my boyfriend asked why I didn't tie my hair up as it was windy, the answer was simple - it looks better down!

SportsShoes have a great selection of footwear and gym kit, including a whole plethora of Nike which I love. The quality is always fantastic, plus during and after a workout the fabric holds its shape and washes well so it really lasts. I chose the Nike Epic hyper warm dry fit running tights as I knew they'd be extra warm, the stretch fabric means they're tight and easy to run in plus they're sweat wicking and breathable - I love the little details that Nike think about, there's a hidden pocket inside the waistband (which is just the right size for an iPod/phone or lip balm...) and a zippy back pocket too, plus the hidden tightening strings are neon! The Nike Pro hyperwarm hooded top has thermal insulation and has a very fine layer of fleece so it feels amazing on. Like the running tights it was so comfortable and easy to wear and the stretch fabric means you get a huge range of movement, also the little thumb holes are fab for keeping hands warm if you choose not to wear gloves!
SportsShoes understand that getting motivated to keep fit and active can be difficult, especially when the rain is pouring and it's mega cold outside, however some smart and cute gym kit can make all the difference and help to spur you on, it definitely does with me :).

The Monday Piece - New Era Blue Jays beanie

This week's Monday Piece is on this New Era Blue Jays beanie. I've been after a new jazzy beanie for Winter, i've got lots of plain ones and then a Bulls beanie that i wear all the time but haven't found a new one for a while - my sneaky boyfriend knows my style so well and surprised with this at the Weekend! It's thick and wooly so keeps my ears nice and toasty, and i love the blue colours and big pom pom on the top. It's ideal for brightening up my dark outfits too! Thank you to my Mum who took the pictures for me :).

What I Wore Today - 6KS check dress

We're spending a few days in Cardiff so a little change of scenery for pictures today which is nice! This woolen dress from 6KS has a red, blue and green check print so is quite a bold choice for me as I don't often wear lots of colours on one print, though it means I can wear it with all black which makes me happy - I love the shape too as it has a little frilly bit at the bottom! I'm not sure if it's a top or a dress so I've worn some leather leggings underneath to keep my modesty as it's fairly short! I'm refusing to take off these cut out boots even though they're absolutely not suited to damp weather, especially as I'm prone to falling into muddy puddles...I hope you like my outfit :).

Hidden Fashion Sequin Dress

I hope you're having a good week so far. I love wearing sassy party dresses this time of year, but it's fairly chilly so layering a roll neck jumper underneath is the practical choice! This sequin cami dress from Hidden Fashion is super sparkly, i love the low back and thin straps and the sequins are little flowers which are cute. It's an absolute bargain too at only £12.49, with free delivery - there is so much on the website, including amazing shoes, you can check it out here. Christmas is so close, and i still have so much to do and sort out, i usually leave it all until last minute then end up rushing it all! I hope you like my festive outfit :).

Jana Reinhardt Jewellery

This tiny necklace is SO adorable, it's from jewellery designer Jana Reinhardt who make such pretty, unique pieces.  Each item is about personality and craftsmanship, and each piece is made by hand. This is the 'Tiny sparrow necklace' which is part of their 'Little sparrow' collection. It features a 24ct gold plated silver little bird which measures just 1cm across (cuteness overload), with a fine 42cm trace chain - the metal is highly polished so it really shines and sits so nicely. The necklace came in a white gift box with tissue paper, so it would make such a great gift for someone special. I love dainty, understated necklaces and jewellery so they have lots on the website that suits my taste, including delicate rings featuring other cute animal designs like hedgehogs and cats! If you're after something extra special and sparkly, they also have a small selection of precious stone jewellery. You can get an exclusive £20 discount off full priced items at Jana Reinhardt by using the code 'blogger20' :).

The Monday Piece - Hengelo Boutique

This week's Monday Piece is on Hengelo Boutique and this fab sparkly jumper from By Second Female. The dark weather means darker pictures, it's so muggy and miserable out there, however this glitter flecked oversized jumper is a great way to brighten an outfit - any excuse to add a little sparkle! Hengelo was created in 2011, a retail store and online boutique who stock a hand picked selection of labels, some of which aren't usually available on the high street so there are some true gems to be discovered from brands like Hudson, Becksondergaard and Paige Denim. Hengelo also stock By Second Female - a Danish brand, offering luxurious and fashion conscious clothing. The collection has a very Scandinavian feel with all the items being simple, classic and timeless. I love this oversized knitted jumper, the gold lurex really catches the light and the style is right up my street!

Poppy Lux velvet dress

When I think of Winter and popping on a glam but warm, comfortable dress, velvet always springs to mind. The soft, luxurious fabric drapes so well, and I love the traditional look to it. This wine coloured velvet dress from Poppy Lux is so festive and glam. The long sleeves instantly appeal to me as i'm not keen on my arms, and the sweetheart shaped mesh panel adds another dimension to it. It's quite fitted at the top, then has a twirly skirt shape which I love! I've added a fedora and some black leggings to layer it up a little, you can find this amazing dress here and Poppy Lux have free shipping as well as 10% off first orders!

What I Wore Today - 6ks Check Coat

This check print woolen coat is one of the warmest things ever! It's so soft and cosy, and the inside is all fluffy too, it's from online store 6ks who have so many lovely things! I'm also excited to wear my new Michael Kors mini Selma bag in white leather, it was too adorable to leave in the shop, and I got 20% off it so it's not too naughty. I don't have a white bag as i'm messy and tend to throw things around a bit, so i must remind myself to be a bt more careful with it. A quick one from me as I'm not feeling too well, I hope you like my outfit!
