The Monday Piece - Hengelo Boutique

This week's Monday Piece is on Hengelo Boutique and this fab sparkly jumper from By Second Female. The dark weather means darker pictures, it's so muggy and miserable out there, however this glitter flecked oversized jumper is a great way to brighten an outfit - any excuse to add a little sparkle! Hengelo was created in 2011, a retail store and online boutique who stock a hand picked selection of labels, some of which aren't usually available on the high street so there are some true gems to be discovered from brands like Hudson, Becksondergaard and Paige Denim. Hengelo also stock By Second Female - a Danish brand, offering luxurious and fashion conscious clothing. The collection has a very Scandinavian feel with all the items being simple, classic and timeless. I love this oversized knitted jumper, the gold lurex really catches the light and the style is right up my street!

Tha Monday Piece - Twist & Tango black coat

This week's Monday Piece is on this Twist & Tango coat. Swedish brand Twist & Tango make such stylish, simple and fun clothes. I've been wearing this classic black coat so much recently - it's from their Autumn/Winter 2013 range and feels so good to wear! The thick woolen fabric is warm, and I love the collar and cuff detailing. It's a truly classic piece that can be worn with everything, also the fitted style is feminine whilst maintaining that Scandinavian style that I'm currently loving. The lookbook is right up my street, with lots of black, grey and blue hues. I've worn it with these check print trousers from Zara, they are fitted but not the mega tight style i usually go for, they are comfy though!

The Monday Piece - Asos Navy Jumper

This week's Monday Piece is on this huge knitted jumper from ASOS. Winter is in full swing and the frosty mornings are back, so i'm trying to be a little more practical when buying things from the shops. With big bell bottom sleeves, a high neck and heavy knitted style this ASOS jumper is SO warm and cosy, it's that big that i can't even get a coat over it! It was £40 which is a little pricey, but i thought it was too snuggly to resit, it's a good Winter staple and can be thrown on with most things so i think it's justified! It comes in a blush pink too but i thought it would be nice to have some more navy. My leggings are also from ASOS and are like a velvet cord material, they're super soft and cosy too!

Brag Vintage

Oversized band t-shirts are so easy to wear, this Slayer tee is from Brag Vintage, an online vintage store founded in Sheffield in 2011. Each item is hand picked and unique, all of which are good quality vintage pieces. Brag Vintage have a huge selection of denim, knitwear, tops, shoes and accessories. This t-shirt is a large and from the Men's section but i think it's unisex, and of course i usually gor for an oversized 'big' fit anyway, i'm really pleased with how it's turned out. I've got my eye on this wolf top, i think it'd look good with some skinny jeans, boots and a biker jacket! Brag Vintage have new stock landing every day, so it's always worth checking back!
I found these leather style leggings in H&M for £14.99, they're tight without being too restricting, and have a soft, fleecy inside so are extra comfy - they have a bit of a stretch too. I'd been searching for ages but couldn't find a decent fitting pair, so these are a bargain!

Choies Perspex Wedges

I hope you're having a good week so far! These perspex, pointed wedge boots are so quirky and surprsingly comfortable to walk in, and light too - i thought they might be a bit clumpy but they're not at all, the leather is really sleek and soft so they slip on and off easily. They're a great fit and true to size, i think they'll be great with skinny jeans tucked in too, that way i can sneak a pair of fleecy socks underneath! I've worn them with my printed jeans, and a shredded jumper from ASOS that is so slouchy and comfy, with extra long sleeves. I have lots of chunky jumpers but always look for a few finer knitted pieces that can be worn under jackets and coats, though i still go for an oversized fit!
