The Monday Piece - John Frieda Frizz Ease

This week's Monday Piece is on the new range of Frizz Ease products from John Frieda. As i have long, naturally frizzy, unmanageable hair, i'm often looking for new products that will make my hair sleek, smooth and frizz free. I thought it would be an ideal time to try the products too, as we're in that weird weather transition where it's getting more humid and we're experiencing that horrid fuzzy rain that always causes my hair to frizz!

Frizz Ease has been around for a while and was one of the first products i started using on my hair, so was looking forward to trying the new range. The shampoo and conditioner are both fab, they have a light scent and left my hair feeling soft and light, with no residue. Following this i used the styling spray, claiming to keep my hair straight for up to 3 days i was unsure how it would turn out but it was amazing - it left me with much fewer flyaways and kept my hair straight and sleek - the formula is heat activated so is designed to work along side blow dryers and hair straighteners, as these are the tools i usually use it's ideal for me! To finish of the sleek style i applied the polishing serum, which smells SO good and left my hair super shiny and soft. I can't wait to continue using these products and definitely recommend them if your long hair needs taming :).

Paper Dolls Tailored Jumpsuit

I'm all over the all in one at the moment, so was mega excited to get my hands on this tailored piece from Paper Dolls at Little Mistress, and i'm pleased to say it doesn't disappoint. If you're in between sizes i'd recommend going down a size, just because it's slightly bigger than expected (or i've lost weight which is very unlikely)...however because the fabric is so thick and well made, it's got a lot of structure so still looks and feels good! Also, the pockets make me very happy indeed! If you aren't a jumpsuit fan, Paper Dolls and Little Mistress do such pretty, feminine dresses, they're ideal for special occasions if you have something coming up like a Summer wedding!

The Club and Spa Nail Bar at The Cube

On Thursday i was invited to The Club and Spa at The Cube in Birmingham where the new Laurent Perrier Champagne Nail Bar has recently opened, for an evening of manicures and champagne - what a combination! I attended with lovely blogger Charlotte who writes LilMissChickas so it was destined to be a fun night! We were greeted by the amazing Sunny who showed us around the luxurious Spa and gym facilities. The whole building smells so good, and feels peaceful as soon as you walk in - the aromatherapy oils are ideal if you need some chill out time, and there are multiple treatment rooms whether you're after a massage, mud mask, or salt halotherapy. My favourite area had to be the vitality pool, with water falls, heated water and jacuzzi bubbles it's right up my street - I also loved the hanging pods where you climb in with a blanket and just hang from the ceiling! As well as the Spa there's also a big, fully equipped Gym full of weights and work out machines, great if you're into keeping fit!

After experiencing the Spa and Gym it was time to sit down with some Laurent Perrier and get our nails done, i had the ever so cute and lovely Madison doing my nails who was so charming and helpful. I chose a pastel pinky shade of gel polish designed to last 7-10 days, and Charlotte chose a dark glossy blood red, we munched on gelly babies, olives and strawberries whilst being pampered and it was awesome! There's a huge variety of colours to choose from, and they also offer nail extensions too. It's a great place to go to with friends or family, and even better if you'd like to treat someone.
If you're savvy with your spending, The Cube and Spa often have special discounts and vouchers available (it's worth every penny), alternatively membership prices are really reasonable and there are so many facilities to use! If you live in the Midlands it's definitely worth a visit and i would love to return soon for a full day of Spa fun :).
