The Monday Piece - Boutique Princess

This week's Monday Piece is on Boutique Princess, an online store that opened in 2012 who offer a selection of dresses and statement jewellery, designed to make you feel amazing. This is a concept i can relate too, most girls want to put on a dress and feel super sassy! There are lots of familiar brands on the website, with different styles of dresses too - maxis, minis and midis. Boutique Princess is part of the Boutique 77 family, a London based retail company with over 20 years experience in the fashion industry. This little navy dress with lace panels has just the right amount of detail, without being OTT, and of course the swing style is right up my street!

What I wore today - Topshop Joni jeans

Can you tell i like irregular shaped clothing?! This top is like an asymmetric, one shouldered cape thingy, it's quite flowy and light. I don't tend to wear much green, I think it's quite a tricky colour to match up, so I've kept things simple with my Joni jeans and sandals - after lots of consideration I finally bought these jeans a couple of weeks ago, Topshop have redesigned them to be stretchier, with black stitching so I thought I'd give them a try. They seem to be good so far, though I did size down as they are super stretchy and I like my denim tight. I also bought a blue acid wash pair (in my normal size as the material was different) but returned them because my mum said they weren't very flattering on my 'arse' - i can always rely on my mum to give me an honest opinion! Ha!
Hope you have a great weekend :).

What I wore today - Quirky Me biker jacket

I hope you had a great weekend. Today i want to introduce a new brand, Quirky Me - based in beautiful Barcelona, they describe themselves as fashion geeks who like to experiment with daring and modern fashion. They have an exciting selection of little biker jackets and tops, like this one, in all different types of material and colour. Mine is the black chiffon version, i was expecting it to be quite floppy however the chiffon is thick, lightweight and is so well structured - i don't like to wear big heavy jackets in Summer so this is the perfect cover up when out and about, plus it's got silver zips and poppers which makes it even better! I got a Medium and it fits just right as i'm quite broad in the old shoulder department (too many swimming lessons as a kid). You can check out their website right here,  how cute is the neon version of this?! They currently have a Spring sale with 20% off everything - hooray!

What I wore today - Zara black skort

I hope you've had a good weekend so far, i've been so excited to show you my new Zara skirt/shorts/skort that I got a few weeks ago - you've probably already seen it as its been a huge hit and I'm pretty sure it's now sold out in most stores...regardless I'm so pleased I managed to get one as I loveee it! I've got quite wide hips so I do find it hard to wear skirts, so when I saw that this was actually shorts with an asymmetric skirt at the front I knew I had to buy it, it hangs really nicely off the hips and the bit at the front hides the top bit of leg which is a bonus for me.
I went for a few drinks on Friday night in Malvern with my Mum and Sister, saw a few old faces which was nice and had a good catch up. Yesterday i ran a few errands in town, then popped over to Cheltenham to get some Joni jeans. I tried some on in Topshop but wasn't that impressed, they seemed to be button up leggings rather than proper jeans, maybe my expectations were too high as they've been hyped up a fair bit. So I'm now on the prowl for some alternative tight skinny jeans, any recommendations would be fab! Today my sister came over, we made some gluten free pancakes then she raided my floordrobe (and left with a few goodies), I think she had her eye on some shoes but she's too sizes bigger than me!
Do you like the Zara skorts?

What I wore today - H&M printed trousers

I'm a leggings girl at heart, i love the feeling and security of a tight pair of leggings, so i rarely wear proper trousers as i'm not sure if they're 'me' or not, however i bought these from H&M as i love the print and style - i'm also loving blue at the moment, especially as it goes so well with greys and whites. They've got loads of printed trousers in store, and for £10 i'm quite impressed - i've wanted some of the pyjama print type trousers for ages after seeing so many gorgeous girls in them. I wasn't quite brave enough to go for a silky pair though, maybe next time.
Also trying to rock the whole pale and interesting vibe, my camera turns me the oddest colours sometimes, at least i've got my sparkly loafers to brighten me up!
Have a great Friday :)
