The Monday Piece - Today I'm Wearing

Today's Monday Piece is on Today I'm Wearing, a worldwide outfit sharing website. You upload your outfit, and tag what your wearing and where it was bought. You can also comment on other people's outfits and there's little heart buttons so you can 'love' someone's look too. I've been loving the site, as it's great to have a nosey at other people's outfits, get inspired and see where everyone else shops, i always have a scroll through and share the love! Each week there's a competition to be 'Style Star of The Week' that's also featured on their blog - the prize is £100 Topshop vouchers, and i won last week which was very exciting! All you have to do to enter is upload your outfits, and tag your items - easy. I've added the feature below and you can read the Q&A right here. I hope you like it :).

What I wore today - Mary Jane Fashion tiger jumper

I'm determined not to let the rain ruin my blogging opportunities, even if i have to pose with an umbrella - i really didn't want to get my awesome new jumper wet, or my hair, so it had to be done! Mary Jane Fashion is an online store, they stock women's and men's fashion and cosmetics too. This jumper is new season and is great for me as its grey (my favourite clothes colour) but the tiger and spring colours make it perfect for the upcoming season transition, it's just the right size to get a coat or biker jacket over the top too. You can see the website and get this jumper right here.

I'm now half way through the 30 day shred, some days it's awful and other days it's ok, i have to be in the right frame of mind and get motivated otherwise i put in a half hearted attempt which isn't ideal - i'm feeling so much better, i'm toning up and have more energy, plus my concentration span has massively improved! It's also inspiring me to lead a healthier lifestyle in terms of food which is always a good thing. I'll be doing a full review at the end of the shred, fingers crossed i'll keep it up, no pain no gain :)

Party dress - Lou Lou black dress

Another Christmassy type post today - I love dresses and looking feminine but I'm quite short (5 ft 4ish) so often find it hard getting dresses to fit me properly and that don't make me look like a shorty! I received this Lou Lou number last week and love the asymmetric style of the dress, and the cut outs make it a bit sexier too so can be dressed up or worn dressed down like how I'm wearing it. The fabrics slightly stretchy so fits snug, and the sizing is good and true to size - Lou Lou is quite a new brand but over the past few weeks I've seen it popping up in high street stores and online. It's definitely a great party dress and if I was heading for a night out I'd lose the leggings and fur collar, as it's chilly they'll be staying on during the day!
It's our work Christmas party tomorrow lunch time, we're only having a quiet one with a chinese buffet but should be fun nonetheless. I'm currently nursing a sore hand as i somehow managed to get it stuck in the car door last night at tesco's, ouch...anyway i hope you like this dress as much as i do :)

What I wore today - Zara pearl open stitch cardigan and snakeskin print trousers

Today I'm having a lazy day at home, I don't really show what I like to wear whilst chilling out at home so though id post this outfit so you can see. It's not very often I have a whole day to myself to do nothing, so I'm relishing the opportunity today. I went to the annual Beaujolais Noveau last night in Malvern with my mum and sister, we go every year as one of my mums French friends hosts the evening in her and her husbands beautiful apartment, the wine, food and conversation was so entertaining and ended up being a fantastic night, as always. I was meant to be going out with my Dad tomorrow night with my brother and sister to celebrate my birthday ahead of next weekend, but he's torn the ligaments in his foot and ankle whilst moving house so can no longer drive over from Stafford! So disappointed as I don't get to see him all that often so we'll have to rearrange.
Back to the outfit, it's a perfect lounging around outfit as these trousers are stretchy, the cardigan cosy and the boots are flat just incase I need to pop out to grab a few supplies. I've also got a few chores to do which is pretty unexciting, then tonight I'll be watching strictly come dancing in my pj's! Do you have any plans or anything exciting going on?

What I wore today - Halloween skulls and skeletons

I hope your having a great Halloween today, I mentioned I'm not a huge fan of this holiday but I've still made a little effort with my outfit. I went to Southampton yesterday with my boyfriend and we stayed the night, I've not been before but really enjoyed it, though I only really saw the shops and views of the docks! Made me want to go on a cruise so bad, best start saving as they don't come cheap. I really tried not to spend any money...but I did, only a little though so I'm not feeling massively guilty. It's my birthday in a few weeks so I'm going to try to limit my spending in the run up, everyone's talking about Christmas too which makes me think I should start planning presents etc. Anyway I digress, have a great night if your going out or staying in, and don't forget to keep warm!

What I wore today - Zara oversized cosy jumper and waxed trousers

Good evening! I do love a cosy oversized jumper come autumn, this ones one of my favourites as its just SO snuggly and warm, it's from Zara (where else!) and although huge its quite light. I've teamed it with my black waxed trousers for a fuss free look, some days I just like to keep things simple. Today's been absolutely manic, it's been one of those days where I've literally not had time to breathe - I had a busy morning at work followed by an afternoon in Malvern surrounded by people at my mums house, then up town and back again, then back home to Worcester! I'm currently sipping a hot sweet cup of tea and am looking forward to a nice hot shower!
I need your help creative people, I want to give my blog an overhaul and redesign it all - do any of you offer a service that does this? If you could let me know some prices I'd really appreciate it,please?! I'm also contemplating doing videos so watch this space...
Hope your days been good fun and not too busy!

What I wore today - mint lace and dangerous sandals

Bonjour! What a lovely day it's been in the UK. I had a nice lie in this morning, then did a big tidy up of my flat (god only knows how two people can make it so messy), and then I went into town with my boyfriend where we had a nice lunch and bought a tent for future camping adventures. I do love camping, even if it's just for a night or two I find it so peaceful and just lovely. Plus campsites only charge a few pounds a night so it's super cheap to get away from the city. I also bought a new pair of clippers to shave my guinea pig, he's a long haired breed and needs lots of trimming and grooming to keep his coat relatively short and practical, bless him. So I'll be shaving him a bit later on and giving him a bubble bath - which he loves it by the way.
I retried on the office nighthawks, I was so prepared to part with my £80 but sadly they weren't 'quite' right...the size three boots did fit but they weren't that comfy, plus I felt they even made my baby feet look big, so not sure what they'd look like on a larger foot either, maybe they looked slightly odd on me as i'm a but if a short ass at 5 foot 4. So in the end I didn't buy them, I believe in the motto 'if in doubt go without' and I totally feel I've made the right decision. My search continues for the perfect winter boot...if you've seen some nice ones be sure to let me know in the comments please!
Loving my recent Zara sale purchases, as i'm sure you've noticed, this mint lace top is my favourite, super light material, great colour, peplum style and a sheer back - what's not to love?!

What I wore today - Primark leather sleeve parka

Just a quick one from me today, it's been a loooong day (and not a good one) - I wore my new Primark faux leather sleeve parka today, I love it so much. It's super easy to wear and really light weight. These pictures were taken on my iPhone at my mums so they aren't the best quality.
Couldn't resist a photo opportunity with the team GB flag! Have you been watching the events? It's all very exciting!

What I wore today - Olympic colours, skulls & skeletons

It's Friday, which also means its the Olympic opening ceremony today! Very exciting for all of us Brits as we are the hosting nation, the opening ceremony starts at 9pm tonight so I will definitely be watching it later on the TV - go team GB!
As you can see I wore my multi colour Alexander McQueen scarf in honour of the Olympic rings, with my new Zara grey skinny jeans - I bought them last week but was gutted when I got home and put them on as they had a hole in the side and all the stitching had come loose on the leg and back pockets :( it's frustrating as i adore the fit and style, I wish I'd seen the faults in the shop, never mind.
The weather has been totally glorious and summery, I hope it continues into the weekend. I have so much housework to do its not fair, I'm going to try to get it done now before the Olympics tonight - I think I might have steak for dinner to treat myself though so that makes it a little better!
PS. My hair is so enormous its ridiculous, time to get it cut?
Any nice plans for the weekend?

What I wore today - leopard mullet top

It's Thursday which means its Friday tomorrow - woo! How's your week been? Mines been pretty good, I've just working and going to the gym/swimming, plus chilling at home mostly. I'm thinking of going to Birmingham on Saturday to do a TINY bit of shopping and mooching around, it's only half hour on the train from where I live so it's quite convenient as it has all the shops I could possibly wish for. Plus it's amazing for people watching (one of my favourite things to do). My sisters back from Barcelona at the weekend too so will definitely have a catch up with her and get all the gossip from her trip!
So I thought I'd wear my lovely new topshop leopard print blouse today, I love it as it has a mullet hem and low cut back - I was a bit unsure in the shop but so glad I bought it, I'll be layering it up in the winter too with long tops underneath and a big chunky snood.
Wow my face is do shiny today, I think it's the humidity in the air, sorry guys it's not a good look at all. Well in off to do my dinner, I've got tuna steak so I'm looking forward to it.

The Monday Piece - TOPSHOP

This weeks Monday Piece is on huge fashion retailer TOPSHOP.
Topshop is one of my all time favourite shops, it always delivers in the fashion world with its quirky pieces that always catch the eye of fashionistas, and simple basics that us girls wear again and again. Founded in 1964 Topshop was part of a department store in Sheffield, shortly after its first stand alone store was opened in 1974 and from then on has conquered the fashion scene worldwide.
The UK flagship store is located in Oxford Circus, London and features all the Topshop lines, a hairdresser, nail bar, cafe and tailoring service across five floors - its every girls dream. Not just for us girls though, TOPMAN is equally as popular and fashion forward. The chain has stores throughout the whole of the UK, as well as throughout Europe, America, Asia and the Middle East.
The brand has featured many collaborations during recent years, such as Kate Moss and Mary Kantrantzou collections that have been hugely popular with consumers as well as celebrities. Topshop Boutique, and Unique add a touch of luxury and exclusivity to the brand too - available at a slightly more expensive price with limited items. Celebrities also love Topshop, mega fans include Vanessa Hudgens, Jessica Alba, Kate Moss and Olivia Palermo; some of whom are pictured below wearing the brand.

I adore topshop, I can always rely on finding something different, pretty and good quality, pictured below is my current wishlist featuring make up and a stunning mint blue satchel - all items are available to buy online now! I have also fallen in love with the entire outfit of picture 2, featured at London A/W 2012 fashion week.

Are you a fan of Topshop?

What I wore today - Saturday!

Happy weekend everyone! I had a great day with my brother today, he came over to mine and we had a nice cup of tea before venturing into town. We had all you can eat Chinese food, it was SO yummy! So I had lots of hot and sour soup, crispy pork, rice and wontons - it was the best. My trousers were super tight after though, oops! We then went to the shops as my brother needed a new outfit for a family wedding that we are going to next Saturday (i got my dress on Wednesday) - so next weekend you can look forward to seeing me all dressed up, I'm excited!
This topshop top is new, I love it as it has a cutout shoulder and a cute skeleton print all over it - plus it was only £14.00 full price, bargain :) I think I'll be wearing this lots and will look cool layered up in autumn too. I wore my pretty heels today to glam it up a bit, and of course I teamed it with my favourite Zara bag - its so great as I can fit so much into it, and the straps adjustable too.

This whole outfit apart from my shoes is still available to buy online or in store, I've also started to put the prices up of all my items so you can see how much items are. Hope this is helpful!

I'm off to the gym tomorrow for a work out, and also need to do my food shopping so nothing very exciting happening tomorrow - do you have any nice plans?

What I wore today - OASAP

Hello, hope you've had a good start to the week. I had a day off work today do did some errands in town and have just finished watching a DVD - I watched Contagion and was quite impressed! I don't tend to watch films that often as I watch a lot of normal TV, but it's been so wet and horrible recently all I wanted to do was sit on the sofa and watch a movie with some popcorn.

I'm wearing my new dress that was kindly sent to me from online fashion store OASAP. I really like the polka dots with the open shoulder top over it, it's comfy too and a good fit. Here is a link to this exact item on their website, it's free worldwide delivery too!

The Monday Piece - Kate Moss

Today's Monday Piece is on English model and worldwide fashion icon Kate Moss.
Kate Moss is a worldwide fashion model who has fronted campaigns for fashion houses such as Burberry, Chanel, Calvin Klein as well as beauty campaigns for Dior and Rimmel London. Kate was 'discovered' by the founder of Storm model management at the age of 14 in 1988 whilst at JFK airport after a holiday with her family. She was then photographed by various high profile photographers and became hugely popular - she then fronted a campaign for Calvin Klein which was the start of her successful modelling career.
Compared to the more voluptuous models of the 1990's, such as Cindy Crawford and Claudia Schiffer, Kate was known for her waif like figure and was notably shorter as well as slimmer than other models. Although this sparked outrage amongst some, the waif model figure was then widespread. As a result since the 90's Kate has fronted campaigns for every major fashion house out there. At the age of 38 she is still modelling and has recently designed her own clothing sell out collections for major high street chain Topshop and a handbag collection for Longchamp. She also has her own fragrance range.

Her own personal style is described as boho chic and grunge, she is often spotted wearing tight leather trousers and simple tees paired with fierce boots and her favourite Balenciaga city bag! Due to her great style she has topped many best dressed lists and modelled on the cover of prestigious fashion magazines like Vogue and Vanity Fair worldwide.
Personally I love Kate Moss' style, she always looks rocky and cool and always effortlessly glam.

She is currently fronting a campaign for high street store Mango, as you can see on the first picture she looks amazing in the neon striped jumper dress.
Do you like Kate's style?
What do you think of her modelling talent?
