Kingfisher shopping centre blogger challenge

Last Monday i was invited down to The Kingfisher Shopping Centre in Redditch to take part in their 'Blogger Challenge' - i was given a £50 voucher to buy a whole outfit from the Spring/Summer 2013 collections from any store in the centre. As you will know, £50 doesn't get you much in this day and age so i was a little apprehensive about the challenge, but was eager to hunt down some bargains! I caught the train from Worcester, the centre is perfectly located right next to Redditch train station so it was mega easy to get to.

I'm local to the area and had been to the shopping centre when i was younger but not recently so couldn't really remember what it was like - i went on a Monday morning so it was relatively quiet, and SO clean too which is always nice. The selection of the shops is great and they have lots of high street favourites like River Island, H&M, New Look, and an enormous Primark too (as well as others, full store list available here) and they have plenty of coffee shops and food places - everyone needs to refuel after shopping, after all it is proper cardio. So, with my voucher and little helper Sunny by my side, off we went in search of a Spring outfit.

At first it was tricky as i wasn't sure what style/kind of outfit i wanted to go for, so i thought it'd be good if i started with the shoes and worked my way up from there; i found these amazing jewelled sandals in Primark and bought them as i knew they'd be a good starting point. Then we popped over to H&M where they had loads of printed trousers and jeans, i love the colour and skinny fit of this pair so bought these along with the sleeveless biker vest that can be worn so many different ways - i was very excitable at this point! To complete the outfit i wanted a plain white vest to go underneath, and a bit of bling round my neck to finish it off. It was as easy as that.

I am super duper pleased with this 'look' - and the entire lot costs under £50, who knew £50 could go so far? Not me, but it's true...i promise. Also, the outfit doesn't even look cheap which makes it even better!

Thank you to Kingfisher Shopping Centre in Redditch for everything, i will definitely be back for more shopping in the near future!
You can find Kingfisher on twitter here, and on facebook too.

What I wore today - Mango bad top and waxed trousers

It's Friiiiiday! Well done for getting through the week everyone, hope you have some fun plans for the weekend. It's been a pretty busy week again for me, especially at work, so i'm pleased it's the weekend so I can chill out and relax. I went for lunch today with an old friend which was lovely as always, i'm so full now though but can't help think of what i'll be having for dinner - i'm so greedy organised aren't I? Wearing a new top today from Mango, it's grey and it says bad on it so i knew immediately i was going to have it. I love these trousers so much, they're mega versatile and got them for a snip at a tenner reduced from £45.99 in the sale - i've worn them lots and am considering a pair in red or burgundy... I also bought a new coat from Mango yesterday, it's oversized, tweed like fabric and boyfriend style and i adore it - for those of you who can't wait to see it you can find it right here, it's a proper bargain and looks fab so if you're thinking of buying one i'd snap it up before they sell out! Have a great Friday people - and don't forget to follow me on TWITTER @heidi_likes !!

What I wore today - pink skater dress and leopard scarf

Hooray for the weekend! Hope you've had a good day, I had a lovely day with my sister in Malvern where we ate and drank and shopped too so it was lots of fun! I found some really nice shoes whilst shopping but my sister refused to let me buy them, and now I'm majorly regretting not buying them as I'm not sure how long it'll be until I'm in Malvern again...maybe I'll ask my mum to pop over for me!
This is my outfit for drinks in town tonight, it's a bit girly for me but not too dressy or over the top. I don't wear fitted dresses that often as they're not really 'me', I usually prefer loose tunics, though I do love how bright and pink this one is - if only I had a great tan to go with it it would look a million times better.
I love scarves so much as they can always add that bit of 'extra' to an outfit, this ones from Primark and I'd really long and big which I like - I also threw my little Zara peplum jacket on with it just to keep me warm as the chilly weather is slowly creeping in. I've had my hair dyed back to brown all over again so the ombré has gone, I really liked having it for a little while but the bleach was destroying the ends of my hair plus I wanted it all one colour again as it looks much sleeker - proper hair pictures to follow over the next few days!

What I'm wearing today - AX Paris cross tunic

So sorry for being absent, I've moved house! Very exciting, I've been so busy and still have a million things to do, however the worst of it is over and I'm pleased to be settling into my new home. Just a quick simple outfit today as I'm off into town to buy a new bin, haha, got this top at the weekend from republic as my friend works there so I get a discount, good times. It's a dip hem tunic with a sparkly cross on the front, I probably should have ironed it beforehand...oh well let's hope the creases fall out as the day progresses. My clothes are EVERYWHERE, all over the floor, in boxes, hidden in cupboards etc. so its a bit of a mission trying to pick outfits that look ok, I've just been throwing anything on tbh! Oops...anyway look forward to more outfit posts as i should now have the time to do them properly! Ooh also I won a competition on my Fashiolista profile - ill tell you all about it when the items arrive, eek! Have a great Monday.

What I wore today - neon and black

Hello everyone! Hope you're well and enjoying the sunshine. This morning started all misty and wet but somehow the sun is now shining and scorching hot - rumour has it we'll be having a mini heat wave tomorrow onwards so expect summery outfits from me!
Threw this outfit on whilst in a bit of a rush, it's rather boring really... I love neon with an all black outfit, I wish my photos showed up the neon of this top more though. I'm absolutely gutted, after wearing my AA leggings today I've noticed that one side (possibly where my hand bag slouches) has gone all bobbly :(. I'm hoping after a soft, light wash they'll be ok as I love and wear these ALL the time.
Any plans for the sunshine?

What I wore today - Primark leather sleeve parka

Just a quick one from me today, it's been a loooong day (and not a good one) - I wore my new Primark faux leather sleeve parka today, I love it so much. It's super easy to wear and really light weight. These pictures were taken on my iPhone at my mums so they aren't the best quality.
Couldn't resist a photo opportunity with the team GB flag! Have you been watching the events? It's all very exciting!

What I wore today - Republic printed jeans

Hope you are all good today on this lovely Tuesday evening. I'm currently watching TV and relaxing, looking forward to Big Brother later on to see who's been nominated for this week! Does anyone watch it? I'm obsessed this year for some reason, it's been a really interesting and clever series - I'm hoping Caroline and Connor will be up for eviction, I'll have to wait and see.
Today's outfit is very relaxed and chilled out, some days I'm in one of those moods where I just want to throw something on and be comfortable and easy going. I love these jeans so much, I bought them in Republic a little while ago as I envisaged me wearing them with little tops and flip flops during the summer - however due to the lack of sunshine I've not worn them half as much as I would like to. They have a tiny little bird print all over and are a great fit - I struggle buying jeans as I'm short (5 foot 4) but have a curvy bum and hips...but these fit great!
My sisters back from Barcelona at the weekend, very excited to see her and have a good catch up, however rumour has it that shes got an amazing tan, so not fair!
I apologise for the rubbish photos, I took loads but they didn't turn out as expected!
Do you like the print on my jeans?
Which is your favourite shop to get jeans from?

What I wore today - Saturday!

Happy weekend everyone! I had a great day with my brother today, he came over to mine and we had a nice cup of tea before venturing into town. We had all you can eat Chinese food, it was SO yummy! So I had lots of hot and sour soup, crispy pork, rice and wontons - it was the best. My trousers were super tight after though, oops! We then went to the shops as my brother needed a new outfit for a family wedding that we are going to next Saturday (i got my dress on Wednesday) - so next weekend you can look forward to seeing me all dressed up, I'm excited!
This topshop top is new, I love it as it has a cutout shoulder and a cute skeleton print all over it - plus it was only £14.00 full price, bargain :) I think I'll be wearing this lots and will look cool layered up in autumn too. I wore my pretty heels today to glam it up a bit, and of course I teamed it with my favourite Zara bag - its so great as I can fit so much into it, and the straps adjustable too.

This whole outfit apart from my shoes is still available to buy online or in store, I've also started to put the prices up of all my items so you can see how much items are. Hope this is helpful!

I'm off to the gym tomorrow for a work out, and also need to do my food shopping so nothing very exciting happening tomorrow - do you have any nice plans?

What I wore today - neon midi dress

Hello, hope you are doing well and have had a good week do far. It's Friday tomorrow so the weekend is just around the corner - do you have any nice plans? I'm having a nice chilled out weekend I think, i'm meeting my brother for lunch on Saturday and then doing something with my boyfriend on Sunday.
The Zara sale has started, I've been preparing for it and had amended my basket ready for when the online sale started at 12.00am! I got 7 out of 8 things I wanted, now all I have to do is wait for the items to arrive - I'm very excited.
We have had insane thunder storms with lightening and torrential rain but with outbursts of sun too - so I wore my body con midi dress with my faux Litas...It's also so humid and hot with the temperature being around 25C so it's tough finding an outfit to meet all of the weather requirements!
I had a bad face today so wore my big aviators, I apologise for the lack of effort with my hair too - as it's so long it's hard to wear it down when it's so hot and humid as it just gets MASSIVE and frizzy (not a good look).
I realise this dress may not be to everyone's taste as its pretty bright and quirky, but I love it and it's super easy to wear.

Are you wearing anything slightly crazy at the moment?
Is my dress a bit OTT for your liking?

What I wore today - rain rain go away

Evening all, how are you today? My outfit today looks like I'm ready for winter! It's raining and freezing cold so only a jumper would do today, it's so frustrating as I have lots of pretty summer clothes I want to wear but the weather won't let me :( at least I get to be snugly in my jumper though, the air con is always on at work so it was helpful in keeping me warm. I love this bright leopard print scarf, it adds a pop of colour to my dreary outfit. Apparently the weathers going to be cool and rainy for the next 3 weeks, I seriously need some sun. How do you dress for work? I sometimes find it tricky to dress comfortably as well as smart...I used my belt to tighten the jumper into a peplum style which I like. I really want a cute peplum tight top but can't seem to find one - any suggestions?

Also the other day I posted about a Michael Kors fluffy gilet - I took it back to the shop as I decided NOT to keep it! Thank you for all of your comments, they proved very helpful. Instead I've bought some shoes which I'll post about when they are delivered, I'm very excited and know I'll wear them lots! X

What I wore today - Grecian and floaty

Hello beauties, hope you've had a good day. Mine has been a bit crazy today! Am awful day at work but then an amazing evening as...I bought a new handbag from Selfridges in the sale! It's extremely exciting and I'll be showing you tomorrow ;)

As i said yesterday I might choose something girly and floaty to wear today so I did! The skirt is actually a dress that I've folded over and twisted around, it looks a bit bunched up around the middle so I put a belt on to try to pull it all together a bit - but I still like it and think it looks quite sweet. My outfit is a bit topshop overload; boots, skirt and necklace - its not deliberate though! Mixing pastel lilac and royal blue is a bit tricky but I wanted to try something different, I've never worn this outfit before and usually try to mix old stuff with new stuff to make sure I wear the clothes in my wardrobe - I'm a big fan of recycling my wardrobe, otherwise I'd spend hundreds on clothes every week which unfortunately just isn't practical :)

The weather is still rather rubbish in the UK, it's not good for fashion choices as you have to consider your outfit for the day and how it'll last/if you'll be warm enough/if it'll keep you dry...very annoying! From what the weatherman said its going to stay wet :( I guess I'll start to plan my autumn/winter wardrobe!

To be honest I don't often plan my outfits for future days, unless I'm feeling inspired of course. It's usually a case of getting ready in the morning and putting on something I feel comfortable and good in, if I'm uncomfortable or not happy with my outfit I'll throw a strop and it will ruin my day! It's unbelievable how much clothes can change your mindset...

Do you try and dress so your comfy as well as looking good?
What's the weather like where you are?

*Necklace £12.50, wedge boots £65.00, dress worn as skirt £15.00 (sale) all TOPSHOP*
*Top £6.00, belt £3.00 both

What I wore yesterday - sequins!

So I didn't post my outfit yesterday as I was super busy in the evening and only had chance to post about my new necklace. So here is my whole outfit, i know its a bit dressy but some days i just need to feel glamorous to cheer me up! But trust me it's such a comfy outfit - I adore my sequin slouchy jumper - its super comfy but also looks dressy as well as slouchy which i love! I teamed it with my forever loved American apparel nylon tricot leggings, they fit like a dream and are really snug and form fitting. Plus as they're black they go with everything! I know this is quite a black outfit, I try not to wear black on black as it can be a bit harsh, so I jazzed it up with colourful nails, jewellery and a neon belt.
It was majorly busy today at work, and on my lunch I had a toiletry shopping list as long as my arm so I spent that hour running around town like a headless chicken. I did reward myself with a cheesy jacket potato and profiter roles though, I'm so naughty I know!

As I've been so busy today in going to chill out tonight, I'm going to have a bath and then watch some reality tv on the sofa :)

I think I'm going to wear something less dressy and more girly tomorrow...x

What I wore today - waistcoat and flats

Hope everyone has had a fabulous weekend, mines been quite chilled out but good! Yesterday I went to topshop to buy my giveaway prize, I was super happy with the cool, quirky jewellery items I got for you - if you haven't yet entered the giveaway it's the post below, and it's international so everyone can enter :) I also got myself a cool new necklace which will be coming up in future posts, I've got a lot of love for topshop jewellery - it can be a bit pricey but it's always quite different to what other shops have and it's always pretty too.

Today I went to the retail park to look at home shops, my favourites are dunelm mill and homesense (TK Maxx but all home stuff!), I wanted to go and have a browse of the sales; there's a nice duvet set and curtains I've now got my eye on so may get those over the next few days. After seeing all the gorgeous room layouts and furniture I came back to my flat and shifted furniture around in my bedroom - its meant to be the spare bedroom but I use it to get ready in and keep all my shoes/clothes/bags in! Anyway, it looks loads better!
So I kept my outfit quite casual and wore flats as I knew I'd be traipsing around the shops, they're from Kurt Geiger and are super comfy, plus I love the gold toe cap.
I'm getting the top of my hair dyed darker brown tomorrow, I'm still keeping the ombré though - cant wait!

What did you get up to at the weekend? Xx
